At tonight’s Rosh Hashanah reception hosted by Israel in New York Ambassador Ofir Akunis + wife Adi (w/ cameo by Miss Israel 2025 Melanie Shiraz), he paid tribute to Charlie Kirk: “In our world, it should never be expected to murder because you disagree. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. It is not freedom of violence,” he said to applause. “With your permission, I want to take a moment to pay tribute to Charlie Kirk, one of the greatest believers of free speech, a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people, and someone who always stood up for the truth.”
