Florida’s homeowners insurance market is broken. Here’s my plan to fix it: Hurricane and wind risk can make up 60–70% of a homeowners insurance bill. So instead of forcing every Florida family to pay private insurers to take on that enormous risk: • Florida creates one strong, state-backed hurricane fund. • We build that fund to a financially sound level and buy backup insurance for catastrophic storms. • We fund it by making insurance companies pay the taxes they currently avoid, along with other revenue sources that don’t put the burden back on homeowners. • Private insurers no longer have to price as much hurricane risk into your policy, potentially cutting homeowners insurance costs by 60–70%. Floridians don’t need yet another explanation for why insurance is so expensive. We need a plan to fix it.

Steve Bannon gets it: Byron Donalds is wrong on data centers. He's taken their money and now wants to build data centers on Florida's pristine lands. Floridians are saying no. I agree. We need a ban. As Bannon says, this is a “ticking time bomb" for Byron.

Coming home to the Miami neighborhood where I grew up brings back family, community, and the belief that no challenge is too great when people face it together. Florida needs that spirit again. A state where we believe in one another, where the economy works for everyone, and where every family has the chance to build a better future. I’m grateful for the place that shaped me. Florida isn’t red. Florida is purple and competitive again. Republicans know that. If the election were tonight, we’d win. Byron Donalds doesn’t have answers on data centers, housing, healthcare, education, or affordability, so he wakes up every day calling me “radical.” He’s scared. And he should be.

Where you smell corruption, you pursue it. The Hope Florida grand jury identified serious unanswered questions and a failure to cooperate that kept investigators from getting the full truth. Floridians deserve answers. As Governor, I will reopen the investigation, pursue the facts, and hold anyone who broke the law accountable. No one in Tallahassee should be above the law.

This is a long video but an important one. Byron Donalds should feel the shame of what he is doing to Florida with his latest $25 million ad campaign. Donalds took the money from big tech, private equity, insurance and utility companies and is using it to divide people. What a coward. The reason Byron Donalds wants four more years of division is because he can’t talk about how he and Republican politicians — who have controlled this state for 30 years — have made the cost of housing, healthcare, food, and gas totally unaffordable for working Floridians. I’m only interested in making life less expensive for you if you elect me Governor. Join our campaign.

Medicaid money meant to provide healthcare for Florida children was diverted through Hope Florida and into a political operation designed to benefit the governor. The Grand Jury called it an orchestrated, sophisticated scheme. The people involved were rewarded with even more power, and investigators were denied the cooperation they needed to get the full truth. That’s why I’m calling for an independent investigation into Hope Florida. And I’m challenging Byron Donalds to join me. This should not be partisan. Floridians deserve to know exactly what happened to $10 million meant for families in need. When you smell corruption, you go after it.

For the next 65 days, they’re going to tell us to hate each other. But hate won’t lower your insurance bill. Division won’t improve your child’s school. Attacking your neighbors won’t make health care more affordable. Floridians are asking for something better. Leadership focused on housing, health care, and education. A state where the economy works for everyone, our rights are protected, and we remember that we have far more in common than our politics would have us believe. The attacks will come fast and hard. We’re going to stay focused on you. I believe we are capable of rising above the division. I believe in the goodness of the people of this state. For the next 65 days, let’s Believe in Better.

The truth is right-wing authoritarianism is a greater threat to the United States today than socialism. Just look at the policies emerging from the White House, a Congress that covers for this President, and the world leaders we prop up.
