“Dangote Refinery would not have been possible if not for my company, Wellmann Group. Dangote had 39 abnormal equipment that, for over three years, they could not move to their refinery not until I came.” — Deacon Chris Iyovwaye NDC Governorship Candidate, Delta State

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s government gave out ₦5 billion to 100,000 Deltans. That is ₦50,000 per beneficiary. If this ₦5 billion, properly invested in productive industry, can create hundreds of direct jobs and many more indirect jobs, build businesses around it and continue creating value for years. So the question is: why are we sharing money to buy people because of election, while communities across Delta are still crying for electricity, jobs and basic infrastructure? If government can find ₦5 billion for empowerment, why can it not show the same urgency in restoring electricity to communities that have lived in darkness for years? Deltans do not only need ₦50,000 to survive today. They need industries, electricity, jobs and an economy that allows them to earn for themselves tomorrow. This is the difference in our approach. We want to industrialise Delta, create sustainable jobs and turn public resources into lasting economic opportunities for our people Sir Dickson ijustin Morris Monye Esther Umoh Mamata Banerjee PRECIOUS ORUCHE 📌

I spoke about our dilapidated schools, Governor Sheriff moved to fix them. I spoke about the Udu Road, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori moved to fix it. Now, anytime I raise an issue, the Governor suddenly wants to act. So, my people of Delta State, tell me: what should I talk about next, so Governor Sheriff can go and fix it? - Deacon Chris Iyovwaye #ResetDelta

Geh Geh calls out Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori over what he describes as failed leadership and policies that have made life harder for Deltans. By turning Delta State into a “Keke and POS state,” this further echoes the criticism that Governor Sheriff’s administration has failed to create the jobs, industries and economic opportunities Deltans deserve. For us, the issue is clear: Delta must move beyond Keke and POS as symbols of economic survival. The conversation should be about industrialisation, sustainable jobs, stronger businesses and an economy that allows Deltans to benefit from the enormous resources of the state. It is time to Reset Delta. #ResetDelta

At Jigbale Market, a Deltan speaks out about the daily struggle to make ends meet, saying he is tired of riding Keke just to survive and wants to see a better Delta State. Our message is clear: Reset Delta is about creating real jobs, sustainable livelihoods and better opportunities for ordinary Deltans. Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Ukodu don sour

Abraka has been a centre of education for generations. Chief E. K. Clark studied here at the Government Teachers’ Training College long before it evolved into what is today Delta State University. Yet after decades of hosting one of Delta State’s most important educational institutions, we must ask: has Abraka experienced the level of development that a university community of this importance should attract? A university should not exist as an island. It should stimulate enterprise, innovation, better infrastructure, jobs, housing, transportation and opportunities for the surrounding community. We must build a Delta where our institutions become engines of development for the communities that host them. — Deacon Chris Iyovwaye NDC Governorship Candidate, Delta State #ResetDelta Senator Ovie Omo-Agege
