The DRDO has successfully conducted three successive flight trials of Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. These tests were carried out to revalidate the capability of VSHORADS missile system in neutralizing high speed threats flying at varying speed, range and altitude.

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has complimented DRDO, Indian Navy and the Industry on this achievement. He said that the system would further enhance undersea warfare capabilities of the Indian Navy.

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh complimented DRDO, IAF and industry for successful development trials of the Long Range Glide Bomb ‘Gaurav’. He said the development of ‘Gaurav’ will further enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces to a great extent.

He has said that the test paves the way for future indigenous cruise missile development programmes.
