The ill-fated aircraft, registered as VT-SSK and operated by VSR Ventures Pvt. Ltd., was flying from Mumbai to Baramati when it crash-landed at around 8:45 am. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), there were no survivors. The detection was made possible due to the sharp vigilance of Military Intelligence, preventing what could have been a serious national security breach. Inside the tunnel, investigators recovered earphones, electrical wiring, and other technical equipment, indicating a possible planned surveillance or espionage operation. Even more alarming was the discovery of recently stored food wrapped in a dated newspaper, suggesting recent human activity inside the tunnel.
