🇸🇪 Series deliveries of the new single cab, flatbed variant of TGB 24 (Terrängbil 24) 4x4 military vehicle to the Swedish Armed Forces will commence next year, Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) announced. Försvarsmakten The new variant is also the first to go into production with new Heavy Duty axles, which provide a significantly increased load capacity. The single cab variant, like the already delivered double cab, comes with a height-adjustable canopy with folding and removable bed flaps. An additional capability of the single cab is the interface to carry a ten-foot ISO container, as well as outlets to power equipment on the bed via the vehicle's generators and batteries. The bed is also reinforced to accommodate weapon systems like a 120mm grenade launcher. The TGB 24 single cab shares the same drivetrain, driver environment and protection level as the rest of the vehicles in the family, which reduces the need for driver training and spare parts at the Armed Forces. More variants of the TGB 24 are under development, including command and medical vehicles, as well as two new flatbed variants with an extra axle and six-wheel drive. TGB 24 (Terrängbil 24, Terrain Vehicle 24) is being built by Finnish manufacturer Sisu Auto based on its Sisu GTP platform. In 2025, the Swedish Armed Forces received the first TGB 24 vehicles, a troop transport vehicle and a flatbed truck with a double cab, and the service started the training of instructors, drivers and workshop personnel on these vehicles.
