How a gubernatorial primaries was held in Osun State without Adeleke’s men being onground shows a shocking lack of capacity that needs to be addressed before the next election - Adeleke should stop trying to be friends with those who have secretly declared war against him. Tinubu is not a friend of the Govt of Osun and if the withholding of LGA funds have not shown this yet then the arsenal to be deployed against him in the next election will prove it. A dynasty can survive in exile and historical dynasties have even survived wholesale regicide as long as one blood heir survives - dynasties do not perish in warfare, they perish by assimilation, marriages with strange families until the bloodline is diluted. With APC coming with federal might, best bet for Adeleke would be to make major concessions and align with ADC, too many betrayers even in PDP and this tactic of leaving the structure behind is already proving faulty - carry everyone who is loyal to you and merge into ADC, entangle PDP in court and give us a straight popularity contest between APC and ADC as a precursor to the national battle to come. A situation of an ADC candidate, a PDP candidate and an Adeleke on a fresh platform with APC federal might may prove insurmountable; 2023 has taught us that only a united opposition force can defeat the powermongers of Abuja. Defining your enemies clearly is the first lift of the fog of war, everything else will follow.

Saw this video from a GenZ mutual on IG last week and I’ve been watching it as the perfect metaphor of what Nigeria under APC looks like: absolute chaos. If they explain APC’s Nigeria to you and you understand it, they didn’t explain it very well.
