Only Somalis are still pretending they are not under occupation through proxy leaders (SNN/SSPD/USC/SDP). Ethiopia and Kenya are about to split the country, and some people are still in denial even though it has been sitting in WikiLeaks and classified documents this whole time.

Hey, you Somalilanders in the UK who were helping the racists go after Somalis in America. Bad news. Those same racists are coming for you next. Right there in Britain. They don’t care where you are from. They just needed somebody else to point at for a while.

Somalis got no problem with the Oromo. Zero. But the Oromo (Ethiopian) got a problem with Somalis. They want all the Somali land, the whole country of Somalia, just so they can finally touch the ocean. And they are not waiting. They are using the Ethiopian army to run Somalis out of Moyale. Ethnic cleansing, plain and simple. Sixty million Oromo Ethiopians are going after one little Somali sub clan, the Garre. That is not a fair fight. That is a stampede. And the Prime Minister of Ethiopia? Abiy Ahmed, He is Oromo. So of course he is backing his own people while they push Somalis around. The guy in charge is on their side. It is not complicated. It is just obvious.

This food blogger didn’t come to Mogadishu to eat. They came to confirm the story they already had in their head. They filmed the worst corners of the city, packaged it as the real Somalia, and served it to the world as if that is all we are. Dirty old fish market. Ruined lighthouse. Trash in the streets. The usual cheap shots. Then they wrap it in that tired war zone framing that has been outdated for years. It is a damn shame. Foreigners almost never look at Somalia without dragging the ugliest stereotype along for context. Objectivity is optional. The script is already written. And the Mogadishu local administration makes it easy for them. They take visitors straight to the broken parts and present that as the face of the country. They won’t fix the historical sites like the light house. They won’t clean the streets. They just keep pointing at the mess like it is our national symbol. That is why people wanted the capital moved from Mogadishu. Other Somali cities and towns are cleaner and they do not hand foreigners a guided tour of their worst corners so they can go home and speak for millions of us. A handful of lazy, greedy people in one city do not get to represent the rest of us.

That’s true what Hannan said in the video. Trump started his anti Somali hate speech right after meeting Saudi Prince MBS at the White House on November 18, 2025. MBS promised to increase Saudi investments in the US from $600 billion to almost $1 trillion. Three days later, the campaign against Somalis kicked off.

Forget the headlines and the chaos for a second. In 1984, Somali model Iman just opened her home to You magazine and said, “Come, let me show you something real.” No glamour, no pose; just her, in something comfy, sitting cross legged, making Somali tea the way it’s been made for generations. The spices hit the milk, the smell fills the room, she pours it high so it foams just right… and for those few quiet pages, everything feels gentle and right. That is it. That’s the moment. 🫖💛

Orwell said the most dangerous thing is not guns. It is when people start changing the meaning of words so they can change how you think. That warning is hitting different right now. In Yemen, muwalad was never a nice word. It was used for kids of Yemeni fathers and African mothers, a lot of them from African lines, people who got treated as less Yemeni for generations. No full belonging. No full citizenship. Just the label. Now some people are trying to clean the word up and dump it on Somalia. Suddenly it became half Somali half Arab, like that is what it always meant. Most of them were never Somali. Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya are right there. Somalia is just the easiest target because it is the weakest link in the Horn and the history is easier to rewrite online because Somalis are busy with each other than to watch out for their interests. This is not hate. It is just noticing the pattern. Look at these new Banaadir pages, accounts and videos. A lot of them are run by people who don’t even come from that history. They are changing names, mixing stories, and acting like this new version was always the truth. That is how it starts. First the word. Then the memory. Then they tell you who you are.

Mogadishu kids don’t need playgrounds. Somali children in Mogadishu need a safe city. They should be able to go to school and get online without grooming gangs hunting them. Reer Mogadishu deserves better leadership a president who protects them instead of pushing them out. Hawyie clan Get rid of the tribal mentality that handed power to greedy criminals who are literally trafficking your kids.

The joke of century, abiy ahmed the new comer to Horn of Africa is calling Somalis the native of east Africa who has whole tectonic by their name Somali Plate ( which is a tectonic plate covering East Africa, Madagascar, and surrounding oceanic crust.) refugees. What a joke! Small reminder, Somalis are one of the oldest native groups in East Africa. They have been living on that land for thousands of years, with their history deeply connected to the region long before modern countries or borders were drawn. While Abiy Ahmed is Oromo, and the Oromo people moved into the central and northern areas of Ethiopia during the 16th and 17th centuries after Somalis were already well established in the Horn.

The nature really loves a good surprise: Salma, a Somali woman, and her Norwegian husband just had the sweetest little baby with blonde hair and bright blue eyes! Everyone is amazed, but it makes total sense Salma happens to carry hidden recessive genes for those features (you know, the kind that can stay tucked away for generations). Her husband, being Norwegian, has plenty of those genes too. When both of them passed the right ones to their baby, boom those light traits popped up. It is pretty rare and totally unexpected, but that’s the magic of genetics.

A Somali woman recalls her life under Siad Barre’s rule with a quiet ache in her voice. “He called us the flowers of the nation,” she says. In the 1970s and early 1980s, that name meant something. Schools opened their doors to girls, women drove their motorcycles & cars, taught classes, wore trousers without fear of stones or whispers. Barre’s speeches crackled over the radio, promising equality, and for a moment the promise felt real. She learned to read in a classroom built by the state. She marched in literacy brigades, chalk dust on her sleeves, teaching nomad wives to spell their own names. When the national theater staged plays, she sat in the front row, clapping for heroines who looked like her. The government gave her a job in schools, offices & factories, the pay was small, but the pride was large. “We were petals,” she says, “not yet crushed.” Then came 1991. The regime collapsed, and the men who toppled it carried new banners: clan, gun. The flowers were trampled first. Warlords shut the public schools, hospitals burned the books, told women to cover and stay silent. The same streets where she once walked unveiled now echoed with militia boots. Neighbors who had cheered Barre’s downfall turned on each other and on her. A neighbour looted her house, a childhood friend denounced her for (Western ways). The factories & schools & offices became a barracks, her uniform, a shroud. She fled to her village with her children, crossing roads littered with the bodies of yesterday’s comrades. Today, she says Flowers of the nation turned to weeds of nation. she still flinches at the word equality. The men who came after Barre did not merely erase his name, they salted the earth where his promises had bloomed.

Imagine this Somalis, a guy from Libya a country in civil war for decades and divided to two sides, one side is controlled by government and other side by warlord Haftar sponsored by the UAE had decided to pack his bags and jet off to Somalia for tourism. Listen up folks, this guy is on mission but for whom? This is the question. Small reminder Libya has serious issues with ISIS and two years in Puntland state Somalia, we had to fight foreign terrorists from North Africa countries like Tunisia and Morocco.

I don’t want this to turn into a gender war, but Somali men have failed the women. Somali women are basically the only Muslim women out on the street selling, and it has become so normal that nobody even looks twice. Take $100 from every parliament member ‘s salary and put that money into the women actually carrying this country. Plz no gender wars.
