On Friday, September 25, at 11:08 a.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue units were dispatched in response to multiple 911 calls reporting a major accident on the Dallas North Tollway (southbound) at W. Northwest Highway. DFR confirms that the accident involved a total of six (6) vehicles, including an 18-wheeler which rolled onto its side. There were three people (a man and a woman in their 30’s, and another woman in her 20’s) taken to the hospital from the accident. They were all in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. DFR’s Hazardous Materials Team was dispatched to the call to address ruptured saddle tanks, from the 18-wheeler, which spilled approximately 170 gallons of diesel. Additionally, there were a number of totes in the back of the 18-wheeler carrying miscellaneous fluids, like used cooking oil, that HazMat technicians had to stop from leaking. Currently, all Southbound lanes of the Tollway are closed from Walnut Hill Lane to Northwest Highway, as the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) has assumed control of the scene and will address remaining clean-up so the roadways can be reopened.

Incredible scenes from behind the fire line as firefighters continue the hard work of building containment, protecting homes and communities, and suppressing hot spots on the #RossFire in Palo Pinto County. For days now, strike teams and crews from fire departments across North Texas have worked alongside local firefighters to battle this fire from the ground and the air. These crews are putting in long hours, working through challenging conditions, and doing what they do best.🔥 As of Saturday evening, the fire has reached approximately 90,000 acres and is 31% contained. There is still a long road ahead. Please continue to pray for the firefighters on the ground and in the air, the departments supporting the response, and every family and community impacted by the fire. 🙏

🚨 Quite a scene at the Hotel Indigo in Frisco Thursday night as several crews responded to a rescue call at the pool. Frisco FD’s Battalion 2, Engine 1, Engine 2, Medic 1, Medic 2, Medic 3, Rescue 1, Special Ops 1, and Truck 3 were dispatched to a young girl whose arm was stuck in a pool pipe/drain at the Hotel Indigo, 2985 Avenue of the Stars. After an hour long extrication that involved extensive cutting of the tile and area around the pipe, the young girl’s arm was freed. She was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of injuries. She was alert and conscious during the rescue. We hope this young girl makes a full recovery. Hats off to Frisco Fire Department for a job well done. 👏🏼 Thanks to Erik Sellers for the video. #rescue #friscofire #dfwnews #dfwscanner
