Today, we visited the Minab school in southern Iran, where US forces massacred 168 students and teachers at the outset of the Trump-Netanyahu war of aggression on Iran. About ten minutes after we left the Minab school today, it was hit with a drone strike. (The aftermath of that strike was captured in this video). Yesterday, we were in the Iranian city of Bushehr, which lies on the Persian Gulf to the north of Minab. Shortly after we left our hotel in Bushehr, there was an airstrike on a target directly across the street from our hotel. While we were in Bushehr, we visited a marine terminal that had sustained damage in airstrikes conducted earlier this month. Shortly after we left the marine terminal, it too was hit with an airstrike. Another site that we visited in Bushehr yesterday was also hit with an airstrike shortly after we left it. Now all of this could be random. On the other hand, it may be that U.S.-Israeli forces are sending us a message. If in fact they are sending us a message, we have a message for them. Our message is that no amount of intimidation will stop us from exposing their monstrous crimes. #Iran #Iranwar

An Israeli drone strike in Froun, southern Lebanon, reportedly has killed four members of Lebanon’s Civil Defense. Israel’s military targeted them while they were putting out fires caused by Israeli bombardments. Since October 2023, IOF bombings have killed 27 paramedics and health workers and wounded 94 others in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Additionally, Israel has targeted two hospitals and 21 health centers, and has damaged or destroyed 32 ambulances and firetrucks. #lebanon #israel #warcrimes

Tonight, after spending 11 days in Iran, I returned to Beirut, Lebanon for the fifth time since Israel's genocide in Palestine began. The mood of the passengers on my flight from Cyprus to Beirut was relaxed, but when I got into a taxi at the Beirut airport terminal, the driver told me that the Israeli military had issued an evacuation notice for an area that is adjacent to the airport. As he drove us through that area, the taxi driver made humorous remarks about Lebanon. Upon my arrival at my hotel, staff at the reception desk asked me a series of unusual, security-related questions. They said that those questions were necessary because Israel had conducted precision strikes on several Beirut hotels in recent days. In the days ahead, Reason2Resist will be on the ground in Lebanon, reporting on Israel's latest violations of the ceasefire. #Lebanon #Iran

This is France’s only nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gaulle. It’s now docked at the Souda Bay naval base on the Greek island of Crete, where I’m currently located. The Charles de Gaulle is scheduled to depart on April 7 for the eastern Mediterranean, to conduct unspecified operations. On April 2, French President Emmanuel Macron stated publicly that it would be unrealistic to launch a military operation to force open the Strait of Hormuz, and that the only way to reopen the Strait was to engage in dialogue and cooperation with Iran. Macron is of course correct, but that begs the question: why has he sent this aircraft carrier into the eastern Mediterranean? Given their history of treachery and double-dealing, Western leaders have no credibility when they claim to be seeking peace with an official enemy of Washington. Like the genocide in Gaza, the war of aggression on Iran is a de facto NATO operation. #Iran #IranWar

Yet no one flinched. No one screamed. No one ran for cover. The mother was injured but survived. Her name is Solmaz. Other residents of the building were also injured. Solmaz and a local rescue worker who tried to save the father and sons came to the site of the atrocity to speak with us. Solmaz had a message for Reza Pahlavi and the Trump and Netanyahu regimes.
