More Mariners injury news -- Colt Emerson exited the first game of a doubleheader at Triple-A Tacoma a short while ago after fouling a ball off his right foot.

Oof... Randy Arozarena lost track of the count and took off thinking Cole Young was 3-2 instead of 2-2. With runners on second and third, there was nowhere for him to go. He and Dan Wilson argued interference but to no avail. That ends Mariners’ rally in the 5th inning.

Cole Young -- who else? -- with a go-ahead triple to lead off the 10th inning. That one was nearly caught at the wall, which kept Luke Raley on second base until it finally dropped. But he scores easily.

Josh Naylor, smart ballplayer. He corrals a one-hopper, tags the lead runner first, deliberately does not step on the bag until doing so, then quickly does after for the second out. Outside Victor Robles' catch in Houston, maybe the double play of the year for the Mariners.
