Reminder that the Rams have been DEAD last in special teams since 2020 with a league worst -169.68 expected points. That's on Sean McVay. That's on Les Snead. May have cost them a Super Bowl or two.

Clayton Kershaw on if tonight is the last night that he'll ever wear a baseball uniform: "This is it, this is the last time i'm putting on baseball pants unless something weird happens, but yeah."

Max Muncy wasn't happy about Kevin Gausman delaying the first pitch of this at bat. Muncy yelled at Gausman: "c'mon let's do it!" Then Muncy punked him by hitting a solo home run off of him to knock him out of the game. Absolutely awesome.

Dave Roberts elected to pinch-hit for the lefty Ryan Ward with righty Alex Call. Despite Ward launching his first career big league homer earlier in the game, Doc went with the platoon advantage. Call delivered a two-run single. Doc is a HOF manager.

Roki Sasaki strikes out the side in the 6th. That's 8 strikeouts for the game. Roki is nasty. By far the most upside of the young Dodgers starters. It's starting to click. 📈🚀🔥

Max Muncy is giving the Dodgers All-Star production at a bargain price. He’s hit 15 homers with a 147 wRC+ on a $10 million deal. Meanwhile, Manny Machado is making $32 million with a 71 wRC+. And it’s not just the bat—Muncy has been the better defender.

Dodgers are now wearing white pants with black piping for their City Connect uniforms. The players weren’t a big fan of the all blue look. They look pretty crispy. Would be cool if they wore them on the road with black pants.

This is not good. Kiké Hernández was removed from the game. Dave Roberts had a conversation with Kiké in the Dodgers dugout. Hernández then headed down the tunnel. Since returning, he’s gone 4-for-4 with two doubles.

Respect to Dalton Rushing for owning it. He's only played 100 regular season games. Give me a guy that cares and needs to "dial it down" vs. the opposite. "It's embarrassing that I need support like that. I’m a grown man. It was not a great showing."

Dave Roberts on the Padres fan that was heckling Shohei Ohtani: "Very annoying. He was in my right ear the entire game. It was very out of character from Shohei. It was good to see Shohei initiate a high-five. That was fun. It was great to see Shohei show his personality."

Here is Josue De Paula in LF tonight. Friedman said today they view him as a DH, but optioning him gave them an opportunity to evaluate/develop his defense. Could be a play towards a bigger role. A Teo/De Paula platoon makes sense offensively. Roster Chess
