A fire at the Barzan local gas supply facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City is now under control, QatarEnergy has confirmed. The incident happened on Sunday evening following an explosion during the start-up of operations at the facility. Emergency response teams were deployed immediately to contain the fire, #Qatar’s وزارة الداخلية - قطر said in a statement. QatarEnergy said it will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
