I still can’t believe I’m opening my fifth academy — and this one feels extra special because it’s in my hometown of Silver Spring, Maryland. ❤️ The Silver Spring/Takoma Park community poured so much love and support into me throughout my 18-year gymnastics career. Opening our newest location here is my way of paying that support forward. Tomorrow we celebrate our Grand Opening from 9 AM – 3 PM, and I would love to see our community come out and join us! It’s going to be a day filled with energy, fun, and opportunity — where young boys and girls can jump on the gymnastics and ninja equipment, play, build confidence, and make new friends. 12006 Plum Orchard Drive, Silver Spring, MD This one means more than you know. Silver Spring, I can’t wait to celebrate with you. 💫

Many people don’t know that in my era, during my Three Olympic Games, gymnasts were never allowed to march out with team USA in the opening ceremonies. Here I am with my kids at our own “opening ceremony”, making up for lost time!! Look closely as my son is holding an Olympic torch, and even the Labubu got in on the action with my Gold Medal. Go USA 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Another Dominique Dawes Academy opening, and another reminder of WHY we do what we do. ❤️ We’re not just teaching kids to move—we’re helping them believe in themselves. We’re changing lives, lifting self-esteem, getting kids active, and creating a place where they can smile big, have fun, challenge themselves, and discover what they’re capable of. Seeing these kids light up at the opening of our new Academy in Spring/Woodlands, Texas is something I’ll never take for granted. Please help my family find my father-in-law. He has been missing for days—-last seen Monday evening in Winchester, Virginia, car left abandoned with a flat tire in Roanoke, Virginia Tuesday early morning. Law-enforcement is suspecting that he was picked up by a trucker. He was traveling 81 south. If you see him, please approach him. We believe he has had a health episode and is disoriented and confused. Please call 911. We are desperately in need of your help and need national exposure because we do not know where he is. Please share this post and keep my family in your prayers. God Bless!
