Probably the last GWR 2+8 HST I'll ever see through Twyford. Sadly not at full pelt like I remember them, but still nice to see 43004 and 43042 on their final journey over Western metals bound for Ely.

Good speed (well 40mph) to 230001 as she leaves Reading on her World Record attempt to Paddington and Oxford. Hopefully by the time I wake up she will have travelled 200 miles under battery power and clenched the crown. A long night instore for Tim Dunn Andy Bowes-Roden = = and others!

'Clun Castle' makes a spirited departure from Paddington for the first time in 60 years! She is hauling the Vintage Trains 'Farewell to Steam Special' for Bristol and Birmingham. Who would have thought in 1965 we'd see a Castle in action on the GWML in 2025 - great work.
