The famous incident from the 2003 Carlsberg Cup, where Danish midfielder Morten Wieghorst intentionally missed a penalty against Iran. The referee had awarded the penalty because an Iranian defender caught the ball with his hands inside the box, mistakenly thinking he had heard the half-time whistle.Since the penalty was awarded due to a misunderstanding, Wieghorst consulted his coach and deliberately fired his shot wide as a display of sportsmanship, an act for which he later won an Olympic Committee Fair Play Award. How each one of us can make a small difference. Video is in Malayalam but I have summarized it below. Aziz Bhai (called the "Kite Man of Kozhikode") - now for over 35 years, visits the beach daily to feed thousands of Brahminy Kites and Black Kites. Aziz collects meat waste from local chicken stalls, packs it onto his bicycle, and pedals several kilometers to the shore. There is an entry whistle - The moment he whistles, the sky fills with thousands of birds that have learned to associate his sound with a meal. Then he has a second, "exit" whistle that signals the end of the session. Once they hear it, the birds disperse back to the trees and rooftops Now he has become quite a celebrity in Kozhikode.
