I've woken up to the sad news of the demise of our political matriarch, Teresa 'Shimuka' Shitakha, 99 years old. Koko was the first woman from our esteemed Bakakamega community to vie for an elective seat as MP for the greater Ikolomani of Isukha/Idakho in 1974 when she lost to Hon Clement Lubembe. She was the vice to Jane Kiano, chair of the Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organisation and has died as a trustee of the same. May her soul Rest In Eternal Peace..

Failure to constitute membership of the Kenya Sugar Board 3. Kenya has exited the COMESA sugar safeguard regime that was protecting Kenyan farmers from cheap sugar imports from COMESA member States. The economic advisors of President William Samoei Ruto, PhD must move with speed to institute control frameworks to maintain market stability
