Terry Tao’s Warning About AI Terence Tao says humans will continue pushing the mathematical frontier, while AI tackles millions of medium-difficulty problems that no one has time to solve. That’s invaluable. This kind of assistance will undoubtedly accelerate progress. But is it the same as AGI? I don’t think so. “As long as you only use AIs to the extent that you can verify their outputs, and no further, then they can be a great tool.”
