Amid fake narratives about amendments in the Central Waqf Act by the opposition & others, it is essential to provide the fact based information about the same. As the member of Central Waqf Council for 6 years, I am witness to huge encroachments & misuse of Waqf assets by politicians & others throughout the country. The Waqf Council comprising of only Muslim members had also submitted recommendations for required amendments. In the long run, these amendments will prove beneficial for the Muslim community & the Waqf system with more transparency & accountability.
