This is Nike, the goddess of victory, fixing her sandal. This sculpture, dating from 420-400 BCE is one of the most beautiful sculptures produced in Athens. The way her chiton and himation(her cloak) hug her body, bunching up as she bends to fix her shoe. Absolutely stunning!
