Hera Pheri of nearly 70000 voters in Dharavi’s Voter List! Following the clear direction of our leader Jannayak Rahul Gandhi ji, Dharavi Congress has been carefully examining every page of the voter list to check #VoteChori. What we found is shocking. Across Dharavi, 6000 to 10000 voters per ward have been quietly shifted from their original ward to some other ward altogether. Entire neighbourhoods like Social Nagar, for example, have been moved to distant wards with no logical connection. If this were a small mix up between adjoining wards, it could be understood. But this is systematic shifting to far-off wards. The intention is clear. Confuse voters. Create chaos. Ensure people reach their usual booths on polling day only to discover their names missing. We visited WARD GN BMC and formally lodged our protest against this. There's more! The forms that are provided right now for objections and suggestions are only meant for individual entries. There is no mechanism to report a mass displacement of voters. We were told to submit individual forms for each of the 6000 to 10000 shifted voters per ward. How is anyone supposed to file 10000 forms in a matter of days? This is bureaucracy being weaponised. This is the Election Commission turning “process is the punishment” into policy. We firmly believe this is a deliberate attempt to frustrate Dharavi’s voters and misuse these discrepancies for #VoteChori. A major fire broke out near Dharavi Bus Depot on the Sion-Dharavi Link Road after multiple gas cylinder explosions from an illegally parked truck. This is a densely populated area, and the incident has triggered immense panic among residents. My team and I are at the site, where fire brigade operations are in full swing. While no injuries have been reported so far, several parked vehicles have been damaged. 👉 But I ask the Traffic Department, माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC, and the government—why are trucks carrying highly combustible cylinders allowed to park illegally in such a congested locality? 👉 Is the safety of citizens not paramount? 👉Why are buses and trucks from outside being allowed to park here unchecked? 👉 Why is there zero enforcement of traffic rules? Where is the accountability? While our immediate priority is to douse the fire, I demand a full inquiry into this incident and strict action against all officials who failed to prevent illegal parking. We have received a complaint that mangroves and vegetation around the Mahim railway scrap yard, land which is part of the notified area for DRP are being systematically destroyed. That too in the dead of the night! Fires are not seen in this area regularly, so it begs the question, who set the vegetation to fire. The location is also close to the railway tracks and could harm the local train services. This is why we say this is not a Vikas model but a Vinash model. I plan to visit the area and register a formal complaint with the MCZMA and demand a thorough inquiry into this matter. This is unacceptable. To Mumbaikars this may give a sense of deja vu as a similar fire was witnessed at Aarey when Devendra Fadnavis was chief minister. And now we are seeing fire at Mahim.
