If there is a BJP-DMK alliance, I will support, campaign and vote for Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s party! I have been saying that BJP Tamilnadu is the only force that can challenge CM Vijay ideologically, for which the party has to start working hard and look for long-term dividends. But if the party acts as an extension, or even as part and parcel, of the Dravidian ecosystem by trying to piggyback on one of the Dravidian parties, what is the use of backing such a spent force that doesn’t have any vision or desire to bring about change? Let me make it clear that anti-DMK sentiments run through my blood, and if BJP, a party that I sympathize with, tries to have an alliance with DMK, then I will be compelled to disown BJP too. There can be some compromises in Parliament while passing bills such as the National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Act, 2019, where the DMK supported the Bill. But an electoral alliance between BJP & DMK will not sit well with a hardcore nationalist like myself. Why should I vote for the DMK and help in its empowerment? I’d rather support CM Vijay and his party and send MPs from Tamil Nadu to Parliament who I believe will work in the best interests of the state. I can afford to take this stand because, as a sympathizer of Narendra Modi, I am confident that he can still secure a simple majority, without depending on Tamil Nadu, as he demonstrated in 2014 and 2019. 2024 was an aberration because of several factors. To conclude, in 2029, I will still remain a sympathizer of PM Modi, but if there is a BJP-DMK alliance, I will support, campaign and vote for CM Vijay’s TVK Party HQ

EPS has become the embodiment of the saying: “Thaanum padukka maattaar, thalliyum padukka maattaar!” When EPS allotted losing seats to the BJP in an attempt to finish the party for good in Tamil Nadu, he believed he could form an ADMK government with a simple majority and permanently marginalize the BJP as a political force. It backfired spectacularly! Today, he is not even the Leader of the Opposition. After doing virtually nothing for 4½ years as the principal Opposition Leader, he tried to project himself as the primary anti-DMK force and expected people to vote for him purely based on the traditional DMK–ADMK five-year cycle. That backfired too. Vijay emerged as the fulcrum of the anti-DMK movement. After his disastrous defeat, instead of acting like a statesman by supporting Vijay, forming a coalition government, and becoming Deputy Chief Minister, EPS allegedly tried to crawl back to the CM’s chair through backdoor negotiations with the DMK. That too backfired. Nobody trusted him. When his CM ambitions collapsed, he reportedly tried to stop his own MLAs from supporting Vijay during the floor test. That backfired as well. His own MLAs have now abandoned him for good. Yet, EPS still does not seem to realise that he has lost his relevance in Tamil Nadu politics. Perhaps it is a toxic combination of ego, insecurity, and an inability to understand the seismic shift taking place in modern politics and the expectations of Gen Z voters. I think even many of his hardcore supporters may privately admit today that EPS has become the living embodiment of the phrase: “Thaanum padukka maattaar, thalliyum padukka maattaar!”

Jana Nayagan WILL NOT be the last movie of Vijay Vijay will come back to acting next year after his election debacle. Possible reason he can give - "I wanted to do it again for my fans as they miss seeing me on screen". Remember, before 2021 election, Kamal Haasan said Indian 2 will be his last movie and the rest is history. As they say, ‘History Shall Repeat’ Bookmark this post and I will quote over it next year!

Another superlative achievement by the Joseph Vijay administration - a source of unbearable urinal stench in the garb of a TASMAC bar has finally been shut down in Shenoy Nagar! Residents of Shenoy Nagar, which falls under the Anna Nagar constituency, are jumping in joy because the TASMAC bar on First Cross Street (allegedly owned by a DMK-linked strongman), which had been a major nuisance and headache for residents for years, has finally been shut down. People say this has brought enormous relief to the locality. Mind you, this TASMAC bar was located barely 500 feet away from a government girls’ school. Despite repeated complaints from residents over the years, and despite the proximity to a girls’ school, no serious effort was allegedly made earlier to shut it down. This TASMAC outlet had effectively become a permanent stench point in an otherwise decent residential neighborhood. Respectable families avoided using that road altogether whether for walking, riding, or even driving. People allegedly consumed alcohol openly outside the TASMAC shop, on roadsides, near parked vehicles, and in full public view. The bar reportedly had no proper toilet facilities, which led to the unbearable urine stench that engulfed the area for years. For any decent resident, the entire stretch had become an eyesore and a public-health nuisance. Finally, it has now been shut down. This is yet another testament to the resolve shown by CMOTamilNadu to crack down on TASMAC bars located near schools, colleges, hospitals, residential zones, and places of worship. After many years, residents have finally started using this road comfortably again for daily commute, as the bar had reportedly remained a nuisance throughout both the DMK and ADMK regimes. People say it was Anna Nagar TVK Party HQ MLA #RamKumar who persistently pushed for the removal, coordinated with multiple authorities, and ultimately ensured that it happened. Not only was the TASMAC bar shut down, but the locality has also reportedly been freed from the nuisance, disorderly crowd, and unbearable urine stench associated with it. Residents of Shenoy Nagar are profusely thanking Anna Nagar MLA #RamKumar for this intervention. And ultimately, none of this would likely have happened without the administrative backing and go-ahead provided by CMOTamilNadu Joseph Vijay!

Sabareesan gets a monumental slap in the face! This guy thought his money power could: a) buy anyone and everyone, b) control the media to push the agenda he wanted, and c) make or break alliances. The election results have come as a monumental slap in the face!

Ennaiyum oru Anil aakitaangalo? I am observing this new government with a keen sense of responsibility and impartiality. When I give credit where it is due, I am called a supporter. But when I harshly criticize this government, who am I then? However, I must admit that I derive a certain gleeful joy from watching the DMK ecosystem sob ever since TVK Vijay came to power!

Chief Minister Joseph Vijay appears to be either ill-informed or ill-advised on delimitation! CM Vijay should understand that delimitation is a strategy the Central Government wants to implement to redraw electoral constituencies by increasing representation for better governance and administration. This has nothing to do with plundering or safeguarding state rights. Any state that wants to improve administrative efficiency in its own interest should welcome delimitation. CM Vijay should also understand that the Central Government is justified in undertaking delimitation because our population has grown significantly since the last delimitation exercise, and it is imperative in a republic that every citizen is adequately represented. From that perspective alone, all states are likely to have more representatives in the Indian Parliament. I would like to believe that CM Vijay is smart enough to understand the ground reality, and I hope he consults well-informed and sane minds and takes a wise decision on delimitation in the future! Chief Minister Joseph Vijay will never go against Hindus! CM Vijay’s dad is a non-practicing Catholic Christian, and his mom is a practicing Hindu. This technically makes CM Vijay half-Hindu. Even during his acting days, he identified himself as the boy-next-door Vijay. It was only a few years back that he began identifying himself as Joseph Vijay, perhaps keeping in mind his political ambitions to corner a chunk of the Christian votes that otherwise went to the DMK-Congress alliance. Not many know that CM Vijay built a Sai Baba temple for his mom out of respect for her belief and faith. CM Vijay may have his own faith, but he seems to be someone who respects others’ faith too. I don’t see anything wrong with someone flaunting his/her faith. PM Modi openly visits so many Hindu temples. Dr Manmohan Singh used to visit Sikh temples when he was Prime Minister. Now, I agree that Christians have been given important positions in this government, but you should also note that key individuals who have an affiliation with RSS are part of CM Vijay’s think tank. This means he will be able to balance adhering to his own faith with ensuring his government is secular. The last thing he would want to do is hurt the sentiments of the 25% of Hindus who voted for him. Why would he jeopardize his future prospects of doing better electorally? Having said the above, Marie Wilson is an eyesore in the Cabinet. He does not deserve to hold Finance, one of the most important portfolios. In my view, he does not deserve any portfolio and should be sacked. Making him Finance Minister was an insanely ridiculous decision. His speeches will become increasingly embarrassing for the government. Lastly, CM Vijay is running this government under several compulsions. I hope he gets a simple majority on his own in the next election, gets to operate with much more freedom and gives an even better government. Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has started tackling Tamil Nadu's biggest long-term challenge: WATER SCARCITY! Someone recently asked me, "When will Tamil Nadu wake up to the issue of water scarcity?" My response was: "The day Tamil Nadu stops depending on Cauvery water and becomes self-sufficient through its own water creation and conservation projects." According to NITI Aayog's classification of water scarcity based on the Falkenmark Index ( : >1,700 m³/person/year – No water stress 1,000–1,700 m³/person/year – Water stress 500–1,000 m³/person/year – Water scarcity <500 m³/person/year – Absolute water scarcity The projections for Tamil Nadu are particularly concerning. By 2050, almost every district in the state is projected to fall into the "absolute water scarcity" category, with less than 500 m³ per person per year. That is why I am glad to see Chief Minister Joseph Vijay taking genuine steps in this direction. Needless to say, desilting works have already begun (quoted post). I would also request the Chief Minister to revisit the visionary Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) initiative introduced by former Chief Minister Jayalalitha in 2001. It remains one of the most impactful public policy interventions in Tamil Nadu's history and significantly helped address water scarcity. Water security is not just an environmental issue; it is an economic, agricultural and even a national security issue. The more self-sufficient Tamil Nadu becomes in water, the stronger and more resilient the state will be. This video shows Chief Minister Joseph Vijay conducting an on-site inspection of the ongoing expansion works of the seawater desalination project at Nemmeli, near Chennai, before departing from the site. Is Udhayanidhi willing to pay even 100 crores per TVK MLA to topple the Joseph Vijay government?? Ever since Chief Minister Joseph Vijay called out the TASMAC Party Fund scam, the DMK ecosystem seems to have been completely rattled and shattered. What irked them the most was the Chief Minister 's remark, "Enga… Appava Kaanom." Since that incident, I have been hearing that Udhayanidhi wants to topple the Joseph Vijay government. Apparently, Udhayanidhi cannot stand seeing Joseph Vijay as the Chief Minister when he had thought it was almost certain that he would be the next Chief Minister, until TVK Vijay shattered those dreams. Savukku Shankar, in many interviews, has warned about DMK trying to buy out TVK Party HQ MLAs to ensure this government is toppled. I am also hearing that Udhayanidhi does not mind spending even 100 crores per TVK Party HQ MLA. He allegedly plans to poach at least 30 MLAs and, with an ADMK alliance, form a government. The numbers would add up to 136, which would be a comfortable majority. The possibility of DMK and ADMK coming together has been discussed multiple times over the past few weeks. Again, Savukku Shankar has mentioned that the first family has amassed so much money that they would not mind spending a significant portion of it to destabilize this performing government, to come back to power. However, recently, former Chief Minister MK Stalin mentioned that we could expect elections any time. What the Opposition does not understand is that if fresh elections are held, TVK Vijay would secure more than 45% votes and win over 140 seats on its own. It would be better for the Opposition to hibernate and hope that CMOTamilNadu makes some grave mistakes. But the way he is going, I do not think that is going to happen. At least one more term for Joseph Vijay appears to be all but confirmed!

Why Savukku Shankar should continue his journalism to help Chief Minister Joseph Vijay & contain DMK! In his latest video, Shankar asked his subscribers whether he should continue his journalism, given the innumerable obstacles, including a personal loss, that he has had to endure over the past few years because of the previous DMK government. If I may consider myself a humble voice representing his support base, I would urge him to continue his work for three important reasons: 1. People deserve to know the truth - Whether Shankar likes it or not, he has to honour his Dharma in upholding that purpose. It is only a matter of time before the truth reveals itself. However, he should continue to be the catalyst for uncovering the truth that other journalists cannot access, leveraging his trusted network. Mind you, most media houses are still controlled by DMK. 2. Shankar's boldness is truly inspiring - Imagine being continuously hounded by a powerful incumbent government and yet making incredible comebacks. The man is an epitome of valour. 3. Shankar's stepping away would deeply disappoint many young people - It could discourage youngsters who might otherwise grow up questioning the system, whether as independent journalists or as members of the general public. Shankar's critics may argue that he is not perfect. But then, no human being is. At the very least, his courage in questioning the system is worthy of recognition and appreciation, despite the physical, mental, and emotional pain he has endured. Keep doing what you do because I know you love it. Also, DMK should NEVER, EVER come back to power! Savukku Shankar
