Kolkata recorded 300 mm rainfall in just 5 hours, the city’s heaviest in 50 years. The unprecedented downpour caused severe waterlogging, traffic chaos, widespread disruptions & several deaths due to electrocution (caused by the negligence of CESC)! But, it’s not over yet, more water will come, severe waterlogging expected, as there is High Tide in Ganga River and no where to pump this water… Farakka is not dredged properly, so every time it rains in Bihar & Uttar Pradesh, Bengal suffers. Several Puja Pandals are damaged badly, shops, small businesses suffering badly in the festive season due to this unusual rain this time… Kolkata Municipal Corporation is working on a war footing to reduce the water logging and give relief to the residents of Kolkata… CM Mamata Banerjee is monitoring the situation continuously and working tirelessly to resolve the situation… Request, everyone to stay indoors today as well as tomorrow… People doing vulture politics over natural calamities are just exposing their political bankruptcy…feeling sad for their future in Bengal !!

A bright 28 year old boy with big dreams, passed away…WHY? Because Bikram Bhattacharya had a Road Accident and he was referred to RGKar Hospital, where he was not treated for 3 hours, (because doctors were protesting) while he bled continuously! Where is the demand for Justice for Bikram? Will there be Candle Marches for Bikram? Who will give justice to his Mother? Will the Anti Bengal Media Houses show this heart wrenching story? I, support the protesting doctors, their anger is justified, but it cannot be the cause of another loss of life. I, sincerely request the protesting doctors to provide medical services to all those who need it while continuing their protest, so that there is no further loss of life.
