As sensitive as this topic is, what @bolajiid said is the pure truth. We, as Yorubas, face a fundamental challenge: we have been conditioned not to take risks. From a young age, we hear exaggerated or negative stories about wealthy people, often painting them in a suspicious light. As a result, our biggest dreams tend to center around career success—becoming a doctor, lawyer, or accountant. There’s nothing wrong with these professions, but rarely do we think in terms of ownership or building lasting empires. This mindset is why some of the most successful Yoruba individuals, like MKO Abiola, often struggle to sustain their wealth beyond their own lifetimes. Their fortunes are typically built from career opportunities—Abiola, for example, was an employee who seized a chance to win a major contract for his company, which then allowed him to establish his own brand. Rarely do we see organically grown empires among Yorubas, and the reason is simple: building such empires requires taking significant risks, and we have been conditioned to avoid risk at all costs. Yet, money is ultimately a reward for risk taken—you cannot become wealthier than your willingness to take risks. I have observed that Igbos, by contrast, are often willing to take risks that many Yoruba entrepreneurs would shy away from. If a Yoruba person does take such risks, it is often their own family or community who will criticize them or label them as dishonest. As a result, many wealthy Yorubas keep a low profile, downplay their wealth, or remain silent. We discourage risk-taking, and when someone does succeed, we sometimes attack them or spread rumors. This mindset holds us back. Lord have mercy. Dr Stephen Akintayo

She bought land in Kuje 5 years ago and built her factory and house there. She moved in 4 years ago. She also bought another 40 plots of land and sold just one plot some months ago for 25 Million Naira. She is from New Zealand yet she has decided to remain in Nigeria and not leave. Many Nigerians will even buy land and before you know it, they wake up wanting their money back. If your company tells them that you are not a bank that keeps money and that the money has already been invested into the land, the next thing you hear is social media blackmail. Some of us have thickened our skin and deafened our ears to such blackmail, but here you have a foreigner who is so grateful for the same nation many people are desperately trying to leave. Many will even sell their lands and houses at ridiculous prices just to travel to the same New Zealand she left behind. We must stop this shinning syndrome just like she said. Appreciate your own and value what God has given us. It may not be perfect but value it. The same Kuje many Nigerians will not live in, she lives there comfortably with her son. She even drove Uber to our event and attended consistently for 3 days in Abuja. Some Nigerians who are not even as wealthy as she is cannot attend events because they do not have a driver. You will hear things like, “I can’t take Uber.” Like they say, a prophet is not honored in his own home. She said to me, “I can’t believe this training is FREE. I knew I was onto something but I did not see it this clearly.” She is also flying down to Lagos for the Developer and Investors Conference and Exhibition this Thursday, 28th May by 9am at Oriental Hotel. Let us value investment, do not sell your assets cheaply, and do not blackmail those helping you build wealth. I hope this testimony inspires you to invest in Whitehouse Estate Kuje. Send an email to [email protected] and secure your future. Love you and God bless you all. SA.

I Agree with POJU OYEMADE 1000% we don’t know how to balance holding Government accountable and Loving your country . Americans are protesting against Donald J. Trump but they are still passionate about their nation. They love American. Over 20% of them who where born in america don’t even have international passport as they so love their country they don’t think of traveling elsewhere . You can’t prosper in a country you speak evil about everyday . What he is saying is a 4 by 4 wave length but typical 2 by 2 mind can’t comprehend . Nigerians who can’t do vocational work in Nigeria are proudly doing uber it in America with pride . Begging to have 3 jobs. I sad down with a relations of mine yesterday whose business does over 5Million in profit monthly but yet went to do masters in Uk and working in a job he doesn’t like claiming he is using money from his Uk job to support his nigerian business . I had to sit him down that if a business is doing 5m without your presence , it will grow multiple times more with your presence because your current Uk job is not even up-to the profit you are making from your nigerian business . We have a wrong Social media programming that has set us against our Nation. I can love my nation and still hold public office holders accountable . Are we aware @theplatformnigeria @theplatformafrica is holding leaders more accountable than negative social media rant ? Again note that POJU OYEMADE didn’t ask you not to speak to leaders to do better but speak from place of solution, speak from place of love for country . We may have large number of Irresponsible leaders but Nigeria is not the problem. This is still we’re the money is! We have all it takes to make it big in this country . Thank you for this message POJU OYEMADE ! Solid message, I Am happy it’s going viral , those that have ears will still hear it. Dr Stephen Akintayo .

I was Humbled Yesterday when I received a Phone Call from My Revered Spiritual Mentor of over 20Year Bishop @davidoyedepomin Yesterday. For proper context, Nigeria or America’s president's phone call does not carry weight like a call from a Bishop because that's the person who had influenced my decisions for over 20 years, and I patterned My life intentionally. I dropped a letter for him on his 70th birthday, and he just had time to read it. He was impressed at what Praise did during my business challenge 2012, which I shared in the letter. He prayed and counseled further on what to keep doing to continue enjoying grace and growth. I moved on with my busy day only to have a few people reach out to me; “ Papa shared your Testimony during the Covenant Hour of Prayer”. Later, the Resident Pastor of Winners Chapel UAE, when I used to live in Dubai, reached out and said that during the pastor's meeting in preparation for Shiloh, Papa read the letter paragraph by paragraph. It was one of the most humbling moments of My life. Humbling Day indeed! Dear Youth! Face your business. Be focused, and I can assure you that humbling things will soon start happening to you. Many of us are too distracted about who sees or doesn't see us. Just face your calling, and soon, the whole world will take notice, guys. Thank you so much, PAPA, for being an example for us all and allowing your life to inspire us to grow tall. As you have shown us, there are no limits to our growth and greatness. No limit ooo! Happy Sunday, Guys! How was service, and what Did you Learn? Dr Stephen Akintayo.

It is an arrogant generation that thinks it has what it takes to correct those who have achieved more results than they have. It is a generation that does little, yet finds its greatest achievement in attacking those who have accomplished what they have not. Social media is not a license to dishonor or refuse to celebrate those who have greater results than you. No man or woman is perfect, not even you typing on a keypad. Trending does not make one great; impact does. At the age and level of success of Funke Felix-Adejumo, she has earned the right to speak and correct this generation. Like her or not, she has shaped the last few decades for the Body of Christ. My advice to those who truly want to grow is simple, be willing to learn. Pastors are not the enemy of Nigeria; Nigerians are often their own enemies. If you are making any real impact, you will understand that it is not easy to build anything great. It is not easy at all. Therefore, if you refuse to respect those who have results you do not yet have, you are only displaying foolishness because only fools doubt proven results. Finally, pray for your pastor: “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15 KJV What God is doing through the hand of Jerry Eze is nothing but miracle . Even the blind know that , this is the hand of God in the life of this Man. He has carried the grace with high sense of responsibility and greater days ahead in Jesus name . It is God who sends you your pastor. They are called, but they are still human, so pray for them. Pray for wisdom. Pray for strength. Pray for divine protection. Pray that they are strengthened in their inner being. Pray against anything that may derail them from their Kingdom assignment. I grew up learning to pray for my pastor. Today, many have stopped praying and have become busy criticizing. Criticism does not transform lives; prayer does. Prayer changes things, not empty talk. Happy Sunday, and God bless us all. SA.

In any business war or PR war, one thing is clear. Nobody has a monopoly of madness. Those of us in the private sector often get pushed to the wall until we have no choice but to fight back. And when we finally do, the very people who started the war suddenly begin to play the victim. We must learn that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. And if they do, they must understand that those stones will return many times over. Dear entrepreneurs, what is the lesson here? Nigeria belongs to you. Do not let anyone bully you out of the ring. Fight. Fight without even looking like you are fighting. Do not let your enemy know when or how you will respond. For the sake of your reputation, you must fight back, but the greatest strategy of all is patience. Do not rush the battle or you will lose. Enjoy the fight. Yes, enjoy it. Do not endure it. Secondly, build your empire on something solid, something the wind of attack cannot pull down. I often tell people this. Those who know me, know me. Those who do not, do not. It is none of my business to impress anyone whose mind is already made up. My responsibility is to remain resilient and consistent, because my staying power is my reigning power. Power is transient. If you play games with a rising young man, you will spend your old and weak years paying for the trouble you created for yourself. Why? Because I can only grow stronger with time, while you age and grow weaker. Dangote grew stronger the moment the proof of his refinery working became undeniable. Even Nigerians now testify that the petrol lasts longer. Yet a foolish civil servant failed to realize that he was the one getting weaker, with his judgment day waiting just around the corner for a single decisive blow from Aliko Dangote. To balance this conversation, I empathize with those in the oil business who have suffered huge losses due to the Dangote Refinery. My advice is simple. We should all invest in building refineries that do not only serve local needs but international markets as well. Love you. Dr Stephen Akintayo

This is what is so missing today in the body of Christ. Even so called mentors are jealous of their mentees. True Christianity is being genuinely happy for your brother and sister when they succeed. Most of the anger against private jets is simply pure jealousy. Because you did not buy a private jet does not mean you should hate those who did. The Archbishop was a mentor and the first Pentecostal to start building a university at a time when Bishop David Oyedepo had not yet conceived building one. He did not get angry that his son chose a private jet instead of a university. He even insisted on driving to the venue instead of asking that they send him a plane. Such a level of humility is missing today in the body of Christ. Most times, it is simply hatred toward the decisions of others. Our differences should unite us and not divide us. The same Bishop David Oyedepo paid the university bills for years after the Archbishop passed on. Today, the Bishop has two universities and ten more in plan. The connection between bishop david Oyedepo and archbishop Idahosa , now I see why It lasted even after he passed on. Finally, let us invest in mentorship early. You have no idea how those you invest in today will tomorrow be instrumental in helping you. On my 40th birthday, what humbled me the most were the mentees God has helped me touch and impact in their lives. Let us prioritize what truly matters. Those you raise today will be instrumental in your sustained reign tomorrow. God bless us all. Dr. Stephen Akintayo
