First they told us LDL caused heart disease, then is was the oxidized LDL or small dense particles, now it's the ApoB and Lp(a). We can't keep reducing a whole disease process down to individual molecules in the blood and expext to prevent heart disease. The underlying causes of heart disease are insulin resistance and pathologic clotting. So the most effective way to prevent heart disease is not tracking numbers or making your blood test look a certain way, it's to learn about what aspects of our modern day environment are creating insulin resitance and pathologic clotting and learning how to change your environment to prevent them. This is what I teach people in my heart health mentorship program. Click the link below to learn more about it.

We've known about subfractions of blood lipids like ApoB, Lp(a), and oxLDL for a very long time, so why are they just recently getting lots of attention? Well, since the LDL/cholesterol theory of heart disease is crumbling, modern medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry, are doing everything they can to still make preventing heart disease about the blood lipids so they can keep making money off of selling medications. So instead of focusing on LDL, they are now saying it's about these subfractions of blood lipids. But it's not about the blood lipids, it never has been and never will be. You can get a sense of metabolism and metabolic health from a lipid panel, or a sense of inflammation in the body with advanced lipid testing, but overall, trying to make your blood lipids, especially LDL and ApoB, be in a certain range is going to do nothing to help you prevent heart disease. Without taking medications, my heart recovered within 4 months, and over a span of 1.5-2 years, I completely reversed severe peripheral artery disease. My coronary arteries are also free of plaque based on a CT angio with AI analysis I did about a year ago. What stayed the same: 1. My diet of low carbohydrate animal foods 2. My LDL of 200 or higher 3. My total cholesterol of 350 or higher 4. My stress levels, they may have even gotten worse 5. Being type 1 diabetic What I changed/added: 1. Prioritized getting more sunlight 2. Infrared sauna 4-6 times a week 3. Being grounded as much as possible (outside, grounding mats and sheets) 4. Optimized my circadian rhythm by syncing my body up to day/night cycle 5. Took the supplement serrapeptase for the first year This link will get you to a video where I show my test results.
