I wanted this celebration to make a statement about the power of education and just how much it has changed my life. But more than anything, I wanted my little cousins, especially the girls, to see that education matters and that our personal accomplishments deserve to be celebrated LOUDLY too. We don’t onlyyyy have to wait for your wedding day to gather everyone you love, wear the beautiful dress, decorate the room and SHOW OUT for you. We can do all of that because you worked hard, chased a dream and achieved something you once prayed for too. 🥹

I GAVE MY FIRST EVER SPEECH AT THE UNITED NATIONS 😭🥳 I told them to start PAYING young people for their work. To stop inviting us to just SHARE our ideas but actually help us IMPLEMENT them by funding them! The 🌎 is FULL of talented youth. They just need to be given a chance
