You're not a Demon Slayer fan if you got out of that movie and you bitched about the flashbacks. The actual big portion of the flashbacks is almost at the end & that's Akaza's backstory which was really good, regardless of how long it was. I'm a casual for DS & i understood that all of these flashbacks were important to understand why these mfs were fighting, what they're fighting for & how they got there. That flashback for Akaza completed him as a great character, like i can actually remember his name now, cause he's interesting & deep, before, he was just the mf that killed Rengoku, nothing else (FOR ME). It's like watching a really good WWE match without any storyline whatsoever, you forget about it in a few days, you won't forget storylines that created MOMENTS during a match, cause of the story that was behind it. It can't be just "I'm strong & witness my aura moments" all the time, it has been a mix of action and emotion since S1, the MC is literally a kind soul. Insane.

I don't understand those accounts that keep saying that the movie looked like a few "good episodes" put together. It isn't their fault that their ceiling was that high, way back when to the point that a movie looks like their big episode of the season, but way longer. The last 1.5 seasons weren't moving this good.

While writing & taste wise the whole thing with Tama, BM, Usopp & Nami is totally DOG SHIT ; some of it just UNFORTUNATELY happened to be in the middle of a priority episode like #OnePiece1033, and even if i despise the whole thing, it was so well adapted that i can't even get mad at it 🤷 Kinda the same scenario with G5 Bonney during #OnePiece1151, i dislike it, but they adapted her stuff so well that i can't even h8 on it. I'll take a terrible moment getting a great adaptation than a great moment (or multiple moments) getting dragged out during another ep, basic compression skills math.
