If this does not boil your blood what does Our sports minister Doesn’t even know the name of one of India’s oldest clubs Mohun Bagan Next time anyone tells you what’s plaguing Indian sports, show them this video And tell them HOW INVESTED OUR TOP LEADERSHIP IS in the sports 😡

I’ve doubled down on reading and I’ve stopped sharing what I’m reading or what I’ve read Because most are not interested in reading They are only interested in knowing what books you are reading and then collecting them We are bending over backwards

This is so deeply tragic… This shall never happen to anyone, anywhere 🙏 There was a girl named Laiba Twenty-two years old. A gold medalist in Physics She wanted to go to Harvard for her Master’s Her father sold milk from a motorcycle They lived in a rented flat She just wanted to study hard and lift them out of it A consultant told her he could get her into Harvard with a scholarship He asked for around seventy lakh rupees Her father sold their only piece of land Her mother pawned her jewellery The papers came She smiled Then she checked with the university herself Everything was fake She sent one last message to her maama: “Don’t tell Papa. It will kill him” After that, she left home… and never came back To me, this isn’t just Laiba’s story This is every middle class family that empties its savings for a child’s dream The same dream we see in our own homes, the coaching classes, the agents promising foreign degrees, the quiet hope that one child will change everything What the government can do: License education consultants properly Blacklist the ones who forge documents Run simple, loud campaigns so families know the red flags before they pay What families can do: Never hand over large amounts of money first Always verify the admission letter yourself with the university’s official contact If an agent says “don’t speak to the university,” walk away immediately What universities can do: Teach students the red flags early Help them verify documents Don’t leave them alone with agents Laiba was a gold medalist Her family stood behind her with everything they had She never imagined the papers could be fake Right now, somewhere, another girl is studying late Somewhere, another father is thinking of selling land If we only say “what a tragedy” and move on… the next name will be someone else’s Verify And don’t leave each other alone with these dreams No dream is worth a life 🙏

The intense online hate campaigns against India’s 2036 Olympics ambition is mind boggling 🤯 It aims at broader negative portrayals of India Replies and related posts themselves include explicit racial abuse (“poopjeet”, “filthy India”, “street shitter”) AI memes of polluted water and garbage and claims that India is inherently incapable of hosting major events I find it absolutely like a wave of racist derogatory comments and stereotypes rather than focused policy critique Even Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) analysis found anti-Indian content on X tripled in 2025, with over 24,000 posts generating more than 300 million views The reasons found being US immigration debates (especially H-1B visas, which Indians dominate) The thing to notice is that a small number of accounts drove a disproportionate share of engagement Similar patterns appear in reports on anti-India rhetoric tied to economic anxiety, diaspora success in tech and even political rhetoric This is deeply rooted in older colonial imagery or selective highlighting of remaining problems in a country of 1.4 billion The worst part is that social media rewards and scale it Because social media dynamics are increasingly known to amplify outrage, memes and fringe voices far beyond their actual prevalence Yes, a smaller share of certain substantive concerns like: - air quality in candidate cities - past event-management issues - costs of hosting - doping rates - Olympic medal performance get overshadowed or weaponised by the racist framing To me, volume and tone indicate that a meaningful portion of the “immense hate” is prejudice and network-driven amplification rather than a dispassionate reading of India’s progress or readiness Legitimate scrutiny of any Olympic bid should exist BUT the form much of the online reaction takes does not 🙏🙏
