Rich and Tone didn’t think Jaafar had it in him to become Michael. Jaafar asked for THREE WEEKS and then called them back to Hayvenhurst. JJ: “I invited them to Hayvenhurst and put on a performance as Michael for about 20 minutes, and I think that’s what solidified it.”

this story gives me chills!!! 😭😭 Jaafar Jackson was enrolled in acting classes and the pre-requisite was that he remained anonymous so his classmates didn’t know he was a JACKSON and preparing to be Michael until the day he got casted.

Jaafar Jackson knew that his role as Michael was his calling. 🥲🤍 “I never dreamed of being an actor or even thought of playing [Michael]. But I knew it was a calling. I really had to earn the role, and prove the film markers that I was capable of becoming Michael.”
