I passed the law to ensure Congress can conduct surprise oversight inspections of ICE facilities. I've used that ability to shut down cruel ICE facilities like the Homestead Child Detention Center and Alligator Alcatraz. I’ll keep the pressure on until real ICE reforms are made.

Like never before, voters tell me they fear we won’t even have elections because Trump is doing all he can to put his thumb on the scale. I’ll always defend the free, fair elections that are the backbone of our democracy.
