"I had to leave in a hurry and didn’t have time to say goodbye to my family." Husna left Afghanistan in 2021. Today, she is studying international studies at the University of Kentucky and working at the Lex Human Rights Commission. Her goal is to advocate for others through a career in human rights. This is one of three stories featured in our new documentary on Afghan students rebuilding their lives through higher education, with support from the Qatar Scholarship for Afghans Project. شهد قطاع غزة خلال عام واحد استشهاد أكثر من 10 آلاف طالب وطالبة و400 موظف في قطاع التعليم وإصابة أكثر من 15 ألف طالب و2400 معلم أكثر من 90% من المباني المدرسية تضررت بشدة. فلنرفع أصواتنا عالياً دفاعاً من أجل الأطفال والشباب والمعلمين في غزة. In one year, more than 10,000 students and 400 educational staff have been killed, and over 15,000 students and 2,400 teachers have been injured in Gaza. Over 90% of school buildings have been severely damaged.
