One of the best parts of campaigning across Kentucky is meeting the hardworking Americans who keep our traditions, freedoms, and values alive. Today, I had the privilege of visiting Schlosser Gunsmithing Co. in Newport — a business that represents the very best of Kentucky craftsmanship and our proud Second Amendment heritage. For generations, Schlosser Gunsmithing Co. has been part of Kentucky history. Dating back to the late 1800s as GUS KOEHLER LOCKSMITH & GUNSMITH, and later becoming Billy Anderson Gunsmiths in 1928, this business has stood the test of time. Even after the devastating Ohio River flood of 1933, they rebuilt and continued to produce custom firearms, restore historic pieces, and preserve an important part of American history for collectors and museums across the country. The Second Amendment is not negotiable. It is a constitutional right that protects all of our freedoms, and I will always stand with Kentucky gun owners, hunters, sportsmen, collectors, and small businesses that defend our American way of life. In Congress, I’ll fight back against unconstitutional gun control, protect the rights of law-abiding citizens, and stand up for businesses like Schlosser Gunsmithing Co. that carry on Kentucky’s proud firearms tradition for future generations.

Great speaking to fellow patriot Dan Bongino and his team today about some critical issues facing our nation: - Concealed Carry - Not only am I a retired career active-duty Navy SEAL Officer and an Army Ranger, who defended our constitution with my life and the lives of others, but I am also a lifetime NRA member and certified rifle and pistol instructor. The Second Amendment is 100% non-negotiable. - Birthright Citizenship - The Gallreins, like so many other U.S. citizens, came to this country legally. President Trump is absolutely right to defend us from foreign nations and radical Democrats who incentivize illegal immigration and have gamed the system, endangering us all. - NATO - President Trump is right: the whole system is put at risk by free riders who take advantage of the United States, and we must always be willing to make changes and adjustments to protect peace and prosperity for all. - Iran - The Ayatollah was a suicide bomber looking for a nuke, and you’d better believe countries like China, Russia, and North Korea are taking notice of and deterred by 21st-century precision warfare capabilities President Trump is decisively using to disarm a dangerous and hostile regime.

Like many of you, we’re still pushing through this hard stretch of winter. Extended low temperatures demand constant attention, especially when it comes to livestock care. Today, that meant cleaning horse stalls—no small task, especially given the age and breed of our horses. They’ve needed a little extra tender, loving care in this weather, including those big, fancy, heavy-duty blankets keeping them warm. And for the record, I'm not a politician who talks about what farm work is like. I’m back here doing it.
