As a sneaky peek over the next few days, I wanted to share a look at some of the 2 HOURS of extras. Here’s a clip from the fantastic Making Of featurettes. A very sad, but extremely fond farewell to the unforgettable Bud Cort, a welcome and magnetic presence in every film lucky enough to have him, not least the co-lead in, arguably, the cult film to rule them all; 1971’s ‘Harold And Maude’. Not only is this beloved film a pitch perfect black comedy-cum-love story for the ages, but Bud Cort delivers one of the greatest looks to camera in film. He was always fun to watch in any part big or small, some other films of his I enjoyed include 'M*A*S*H', ‘Brewster McCloud’, ‘Gas-s-s-s’, ‘Invaders from Mars’, ‘The Chocolate War’, ‘Heat’, ‘Dogma’ and ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’ among many others that I implore you to list below. And if you haven’t seen ‘Harold And Maude’, rectify this tonight. Keep breaking that fourth wall, Bud. We’ll miss you x

Arnold Schwarzenegger loved The Running Man so much he kindly invited local veterans in Los Angeles to experience the movie at the Skydance screening room. I’m beside myself listening to him speak about the film we all worked so hard on. He has been so kind and generous throughout our production. Thank you, Arnold!

Americano Grande! The jam-packed disc for The Running Man Movie drops this week, with a whole lot more of fictional Network series, 'The Americanos'. If you’ve seen the film, you will have seen tantalising clips of an in-movie reality show showing the simple, everyday lives of zillionaire coffee magnates. This footage was the very first thing we shot for the film (Oct 30th, 2024). Even though the actual scene in the script was short, we wrote full pages for it, and then our incredible cast riffed like crazy. What an absolute BLAST to have cameos from (the legend) Debi Mazar, plus killer queens Cat Cohen and Emma Sidi. There’s much more of them all to enjoy. Special shout-outs to Leslie Powell for her infectious cover of the great Holly Johnson solo single, as well as Two Fresh Creative for their insanely brilliant title sequence! NSFW!

Wowed by this Running Man tribute trailer made by editor Maxime Brun. Our adaptation was lovingly made with the future wastelands of 80s cinema in mind, those wild, gritty dystopias that John Carpenter and Paul Verhoeven played in. Could easily splice right into Grindhouse after Don't. Check out his YouTube page before the Network takes this post down.

The extras packed 4K UHD / Blu-ray disc for The Running Man Movie is out TODAY. It's loaded with 2 HOURS of extra material - just the way you like it. As another sneak peak at the goodies, here's a commercial using all of the amazing 'HARDEST HITS' sequences put together by our stunt team. The use of 'Ode To Joy' is a little nod to the 1988 TV spot of 'Die Hard'. It was cut together by our amazing additional editor Jerry Ramsbottom and, yes, that IS the voice of James Austin Johnson at the end.* Enjoy this and so many other goodies on the disc. If you already bought and watched them - let me know what you loved. London, I'll see you at @picturehousecentral tomorrow night at 7pm for a special Q&A for 'The Running Man'. (*NB - At one point we had this TV spot open the movie before the studio logos. Ultimately we went back to the original opening from the script, but it was fun to see it with a few audiences like this.)

'Hey you! Tough Guy!' The The Running Man Movie Blu-Ray and 4K UHD are out right NOW and loaded with 2 hours of extras! It's great to be able to share all this amazing additional material and the hard work done by cast and crew. Included are the full-screen clips of many of the Network TV commercials in the film, including this one. And yes, eagle eyed fans will spot that that is stuntman and actor extraordinare GregTownley playing the 'Hero Runner'. He was the lead teenage blank in 'The World's End', who fought Simon Pegg in the bathroom. Check out this and so much more on the loaded disc. Physical media forever, baby x

RIP veteran composer Laurie Johnson, who wrote countless theme tunes that are burned into my brain forever, not least the magnificent music for The Avengers TV series. So here's the best title sequence of them all, starring the much missed Dame Diana Rigg. Take it away, Laurie x
