I miss Seo Ye Ji. 🤧 Say what you want about her, but one thing nobody can take away from her is her screen presence. She’s one of those actresses who doesn’t even need to say a word; the moment she appears on screen, your eyes automatically follow her. From Save Me to It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and even Eve, she had this aura that made every scene feel bigger than it was. Whether you loved her character or hated her character, you watched. And that’s a rare talent. It’s been years since Eve, and I still find myself waiting for that one drama announcement that will put her back on my screen full time. Apparently, she has slowly returned to acting through theater and stage performances after her hiatus, but I need a proper Kdrama comeback. Kdramaland just doesn’t feel the same without Seo Ye Ji serving face, charisma, fashion, and that slightly unhinged vibe only she can pull off. 🥹

The k- drama We Are All Trying Here is a must watch I know some people will watch one episode and call it boring. Because It’s not fast paced. It’s slice of life in the most literal sense people sitting in rooms with their envy, their 20 year old dreams that never launched, their friends who made it while they didn’t. It’s quiet. It’s slow. It lingers on silences. But that’s exactly why it gutted me. Because this show understands the war you don’t talk about. The one where you open Instagram at 2am and feel like a failure. Where you’ve been “trying” for years and the world still doesn’t know your name. Hwang Dong-man, twenty years into film school, still no debut. Byeon Eun-ah, called “The Axe” because she has to kill other people’s dreams for a living. Everyone in this drama is carrying some private worthlessness, some comparison they can’t shake. It’s not entertaining in the way K-dramas usually are. It’s uncomfortable. It holds up a mirror to the parts of you that feel behind, bitter, unseen. But that’s why it’s so relatable. That’s why I think everyone should watch it. On the outside, life looks fine but inside, everyone is struggling in their own way. And I think that’s what makes it so relatable. We spend so much time pretending we’re fine, pretending we’re winning. We Are All Trying Here just. admits it. We’re all scared we’re wasting our lives. We are all anxious. We’re all trying here. Okay, I finally finished watching The Scandal and I have THOUGHTS. 😭 First of all, this cast??? Son Ye jin, Ji Chang wook and Nana together was already enough to get me seated, but they actually delivered. Son Ye jin is so good as Lady Cho, Ji Chang wook is doing what Ji Chang wook does best 😭 and Nana??? I was genuinely impressed by her. The chemistry, the tension, the costumes, the whole visual presentation everything is so damn pretty. And I love that this is not just a straightforward remake of the old story. They’ve given the characters more history and emotional layers, especially Lady Cho and Jo Won. Now, is it perfect? No. I did feel the pacing in the first few episodes. It takes its sweet time setting everything up, and there were moments I was like, “Okay, can we move?” 😭 But once I got into the game these people were playing, I was locked in. Episode 4 had me reeling 🤭I’m shy on behalf of ji chang wook. And listen, historical Kdramas are NOT my thing because I get tired of everybody plotting and scheming every five seconds 😭😭 but Ji Chang wook said come and watch this one and unfortunately I listened. Overall, I’m glad I watched it. The cast alone is worth the hype, but the drama actually has enough going on to keep me interested. Ji Chang wook, love of my life, you have done it again. 😭🔥I’m screaming please go and watch it If you loved The Handmaiden, Love and Leashes, The Red Sleeve or those messy, seductive period dramas where nobody is as innocent as they look, I think you’ll enjoy this one. #Thescandal
