This is not just another story, it’s a true life event of man who does not care about consent. cc Crea8tivist Global From what has been shared publicly by himself, these are the facts that points to nothing but textbook definition of "RAPE" 1. Kenny confirms that he had unprotected sex with her while knowing fully well that she was drunk and had passed out. 2. The screenshot I shared in my video shows that he knew how intoxicated she was at the time. 3. He described himself as her “babysitter” that night, someone meant to protect her, not take advantage of her vulnerability. 4. He admitted that she didn't know who he was as at the time fo the incident and kept asking every 15 minutes. 5. He had to be the one to tell her everything that had happened, he even brought her out of the pool alongside other friends because she was clearly not okay...then still proceeded to have his way with her. 6. He had his way for almost two hours till she bled and her friends came to knock the door. Now, instead of accountability, he is threatening legal action, saying he has been defamed and that his reputation is being damaged. And honestly, this is where it becomes even more painful. Because how do we keep asking survivors to speak up… only for them to face fear, intimidation, and the weight of being silenced all over again? Nigerians, please help me. 🧎♀️🙏 On the 16th of April, I received a call from a frightened teenager named Veronica. She told me that her father had forced her into marriage sometime in March to a man in his forties. She had been taken all the way from Cross River State to Plateau State, where she was trapped with a complete stranger. We spent days trying to locate her because she didn't even know where she was. I reported the case to the Chairperson of Child Protection in Plateau State, who then linked me with Vivien Abara. 💪 Together, we rescued her from that house, even though the man had already alerted security operatives within the area to prevent her escape. At the police station, he kept talking about the ₦600,000 and other payments he had made to her father. Meanwhile, Veronica kept crying and insisting that she did not know him and wanted nothing to do with him. Since then, I have moved her through two different temporary shelters across two geopolitical zones in Nigeria. Today, we need your help to raise atleast ₦3,000,000 to support Veronica's feeding, education, welfare, accommodation, and skills training as she begins rebuilding her life. She dreams of continuing her tailoring training so she can stand on her own feet, or, if possible, return to school and complete her education. Her father and the man she was forced to marry are still threatening her. The man has sworn not to let her go. But no law in Nigeria can force a teenager to remain married to a stranger against her will. The Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act (VAPP Act) also protects her from forced marriage and other forms of abuse. As an organisation BOF , we have completely exhausted our internal resources through the rescue, relocation, return, and placement process over the past two months. In the last three weeks alone, I have personally spent more than ₦300,000. There are many details I cannot publicly disclose for the safety of Veronica and everyone who has helped along the way. At this point, silence is no longer helping her case. Veronica is ready to tell the world what happened to her and plead for her father and this man to stop forcing her into a marriage she never wanted. No teenager should ever have to endure this kind of pain, fear, and trauma. If we had any other means, we honestly would not be here. Fundraise/Call for sponsorship to enable us enroll gift to school. #happyinternationalwomensday Gift is a 13 year old Orphan who has been accused of witchcraft for a greater part of her life. Between October 2023 till date, I had visited her home more than 8 times just to convince her relatives to let us enroll her in secondary school, all to no avail. I begged, pleaded, reported all to no avail. Her relative insisted that Gift must make their grandchild (baby) to walk before they will let her step her foot in a school even after finishing primary 6 three years ago.
