Commander-In-Chief and President of the EFF, Julius Sello Malema, asked President Ramaphosa: The level of violence perpetrated against African foreign nationals in this country over the past few months has a face. We know who the instigators and the perpetrators of this violent act are. In certain instances, we have seen perpetrators unleashing their violence against African immigrants in the presence of the police, and yet no one of these perpetrators or instigators is arrested. This gives an impression that this violence is, in fact, a state-sanctioned violence against African nationals. This hardens the attitude of our sister nations in the continent, because to them and to many of us, these are not isolated actions of vigilante groups, but rather actions aided by the state. Why have the perpetrators of this violence not been arrested and prosecuted? #EFFInParliament

Mr Ramaphosa removed himself from office by engaging in wrongdoing, and he can't blame that on us. We did not ask Mr Ramaphosa to do business illegally or to trade in US dollars while he is the President presiding over a country whose legal tender is the rand. So he has transgressed a number of laws in this country.

Commander-in-Chief and President of the EFF, Julius Sello Malema, delivering a powerful debate on the Motion of No Confidence against the Speaker of the National Assembly. When President Cyril Ramaphosa filed papers to take the Section 89 Independent Panel Report on review, following the Constitutional Court judgment that Parliament must establish an impeachment committee to test whether the President violated his oath of office, the Speaker, as the head of Parliament, did not oppose that application. Similarly, when Mr. Ramaphosa filed an interdict application to stop the impeachment committee from doing its work pending the outcome of his opportunistic review application, the Speaker again decided not to oppose that application. #EFFParliament

President and Commander-in-Chief, who is a member of the Impeachment Committee, Julius Sello Malema, rejects President Ramaphosa’s attempt to oppose the Evidence Leader. The CIC states that Ramaphosa is not going to choose his own judge; it is not going to happen. The appointment of the Evidence Leader is the responsibility of the Committee, and the Committee has appointed the Evidence Leader through a democratic process. Ramaphosa is not going to choose who will lead a process in which we are seeking to hold him accountable. It is not going to happen. #EFFInParliament #ImpeachmentCommittee

President and Commander-in-Chief of the EFF, Julius Sello Malema, responded to the debate on the Motion of No Confidence in the Speaker, some of which were frivolous and fallacious. We never said she’s not competent because she did not implement what the court said she must implement. You are arguing the wrong point. We said she did not defend a decision which was well-backed by the court, well-instructed by the court. And when it was being challenged, she was nowhere to be found. And that person who acts like that acts irrationally and not in the best interests of Parliament. #EFFInParliament
