Exploring Nigeria by Train 🇳🇬… Lagos to Ibadan In today’s episode of exploring Nigeria, I travelled by train from Lagos State to Ibadan, Oyo State, as a Ghanaian, and honestly, the experience was smooth, simple, and comfortable! For anyone wondering how the process works, especially foreigners, here’s what I learned from my experience. A friend had to book my ticket for me because I didn’t have a Nigerian National Identification Number (NIN). She used her own details to make the booking through the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) website, and the one-way ticket cost ₦3,834 The journey took less than three hours, and I was impressed by how spacious and beautiful the train stations were. One thing I also found interesting was learning that some people live in one state and work in another, using the train to commute. Imagine being able to travel between states for work! 🚆 Nigeria continues to surprise me with every new experience. OMG 😳… Nigeria 🇳🇬 is really blessed! 🙏🏾 I came across this incredible waterfall in Cross River State, and honestly, it reminded me so much of Victoria Falls in Zambia 🇿🇲. 📍Abokim waterfalls What surprised me most is how quietly this place sits in the middle of the forest. A natural wonder like this could be a huge attraction for West Africa, yet so many people may not even know it exists. And getting there was an adventure of its own! 😂 4-hour road trip by public transport from Calabar to Ikom 50-minute motorcycle ride from Ikom to Abokim And finally… Abokim Waterfalls! After seeing this with my own eyes, I’ll keep saying it: Nigeria is blessed. #waterfall #crossriver #nigeria #adventure #travel

If you ask me what travelling around Nigeria has been like so far, I’d say it’s been one of my best travel experiences across the 25 countries I’ve visited. Nigeria is so diverse, and every state gives me another opportunity to learn something new about Africa, its people, cultures, and way of life. This is why I love exploring Africa firsthand.
