Ahh yes, the “we probably can’t use that one” takes. This is what I live for 🙏

Apparently the Tetris movie used footage from Game Grumps when they needed footage from Punch Out lmao.

When we developed the voice for Tezcatlipoca on Onyx Equinox, we looked a lot at his first appearance on screen: he had these wispy smoke trails emanating from his nostrils. Even though he didn't carry that detail through all of his different forms, it affected how the performance would sort of waft effortlessly from line to line, giving him a mocking and "above it all" tone. I tried to give a smirk to a lot of his lines, especially when he was talking down to, or playing with a character's life. His entitlement led to some pretty fun moments to perform, especially when I got opportunities to have his smugness challenged. I hope I did him justice. Working on Onyx Equinox was a dream, and sofiaealexander.bsky.social had such a beautiful and clear vision for it. It's a shame we didn't get more of this frankly groundbreaking show.

One of the coolest experiences in my life was being able to voice EVERY Kapu Kapu character in Chu Chu Rocket! Universe, a game now strangely considered lost media. Chu Chu Rocket! was one of my absolute favorite games growing up, I couldn't believe I had this opportunity. On top of that, it was such a joy to work again with (absolute genius) Antony Lavelle. We were frequent collaborators in the Newgrounds.com days, voicing for his brilliant game Help the Hero, as well as a small part in his beloved SHIFT series. I thought this might be a stuffy experience since this was such a big property for a huge brand, but it was the exact opposite. Antony and I were laughing the entire time recording this, I believe you can even hear me start to crack up at the end of certain Chef Kapu lines (because, admittedly, my French accent is NOT GOOD) When the job is to do so many characters and be very cartoony, it's all about texture and variety for me. I tried to give every character not just a unique personality, but a unique sound quality. I didn't want any character to sound like any other character. For example, King Kapu was mostly back of the throat, Kap'n Kapu was all tight nasal, and Sargeant Kapu was very breathy.

One of my all time favorite roles was getting to voice who is only known in the script as "Fantastic Being" for Very Important House, a pilot made for Disney XD. We recorded these lines 11 years ago to the day! And... if you're wondering about the quality... I couldn't find my old copy of it. All I could find was a re-upload of a re-upload. Crazy!! This project is often only attributed to Jhonen Vasquez, but one look at it and you can see co-creator and art director Jebby "lilcunchy" Goldbarf's fingerprints all over it. I can't tell you how nice it is to let loose on something so cartoony, and over the top. I grew up on Nickelodeon-styled cartoon voices and that's the business I always wanted to be in. Supposedly this role was written for Matt Berry, and after hearing that I wondered if they wanted an impression. Luckily they were much more interested in what I could bring to the table. Although I can't help but wonder if the very specific delivery of "minute and fourty two seconds!!" they asked for wasn't inspired by him!!
