▪️A 31-year-old man, Yuvraj Singh Manchanda, was murdered in Gurugram by his ex-girlfriend, Anya Vats, over financial dispute. Yuvraj was the sole breadwinner of his family and was set to get married within a month. His father is paralysed, while his mother suffers from a heart condition. ▪️On September 6, Yuvraj went with his sisters to Lajpat Nagar market in Delhi to purchase his wedding sherwani. At around 4:15 PM, they stopped at the Golden Dragon restaurant, where Yuvraj later told his sisters that he had an urgent meeting with his former colleague in Gurugram. He left for gurugram, while his sisters returned home. ▪️Around 7 PM, Yuvraj spoke to his family and told them that he would return home by 10 PM. ▪️However, he did not return and subsequently became unreachable. On September 8, at around 4:16 PM, his family received the last WhatsApp message from him, after which his phone was switched off. ▪️On September 10, Gurugram police recovered an unidentified body from a drain. According to Yuvraj's family, they were not informed about the recovery and alleged that details regarding the unidentified body were not uploaded on ZIPNET in time. The body was subsequently cremated by the police on September 14, before the family was informed of Yuvraj's death. ▪️On September 11, while Yuvraj's family had already been searching for him, they filed a missing person report at Lajpat Nagar Police Station. During the investigation, police examined his call records and found that his last phone call was with his former colleague, Vats, whom he had gone to meet in Gurugram. ▪️As Anya's phone was found switched off, police analysed CCTV footage, technical data and made enquiries at the offices of Yuvraj. The investigation led police to identify Vats as a prime suspect. Police detected a new mobile number being used by her and eventually arrested her from Uttarakhand. Her partner was also arrested in connection with the case. ▪️During interrogation, the two accused disclosed that they had murdered Yuvraj and disposed of his body in a drain near their house in Gurugram. ▪️Both accused have been remanded to 5 days of police custody. Mohammad Kamrul, a resident of Katihar, was living at his in-laws’ home in Khora village. His wife and in-laws murdered him after which his body was buried in a nearby cemetery. A video that went viral on social media shows Kamrul lying on the ground with a scarf wrapped around his neck. His wife, and another young man are seen pulling the scarf from opposite sides. After the video surfaced, police and district administration took action. On last Sunday, forensic team exhumed Kamrul’s body and sent it for post-mortem examination. #HusbandMurder #Mentoo

In Bulandshahr, 45-year-old farmer Krishan Kumar was strangled to death by his 40-year-old wife, Preeti, with whom he had been married for 16 years. According to family, domestic disputes frequently erupted because Preeti spent hours talking over the phone with a local village man. A fierce scuffle broke out when Krishan caught her on the call on the day of the incident, prompting him to storm off to the fields. He returned heavily drunk around 9 PM, taking advantage of his intoxicated state, Preeti climbed onto his chest, assaulted him and used a towel to strangle him to death, while their eight-year-old daughter slept in another room. Sonu Kumar’s last words before dying by Su*c*de: “My wife is now free she can live her life the way she wants. She should not come for my last rites. I was under extreme stress. I started drinking because I couldn't leave my parents. Now I will not be with her nor with my parents. It is my mistake that I loved. It is my mistake that I got married. I really wanted to live but I can't take it anymore. Don't blame my wife for this step. She should go to her home and live life freely. I am sorry to my parents for this step. I will take birth again and be a good lover and a good son but I can't live this life anymore.” Sonu Kumar (21), a resident of Agra, died by su*c*de after being distressed by an ongoing marital dispute. Before taking the extreme step, he recorded an emotional video in which he apologised to his family, described his marriage as a mistake, and repeatedly appealed that his wife and her family should not be harassed because of his death. He clarified that his wife was not responsible for his decision to end his life, saying that the mistake was his own for marrying. He also apologised to his parents for causing them pain, admitted that he could no longer bear the burden of life, and became visibly emotional while bidding them farewell. Parveen Garg, a resident of Chandigarh, recorded a video before ending his life, in which he held his sister-in-law Kimmy, her mother Babita and father Sanjeev Kumar Singla responsible for his decision. He alleged that the three, along with Kimmy’s two sisters—Ankita of Noida and Aashima of Sangrur—and her younger brother living abroad, had continuously harassed, humiliated and troubled his family. He also denied allegations of dowry demands and claimed that a false FIR had been lodged against his elder brother. In the video, Garg alleged that his family had faced repeated harassment despite his mother taking care of Kimmy and fulfilling her demands. He further claimed that he was threatened in Chandigarh and was asked to arrange ₹60–70 lakh from his parents, with threats made against him and his family if the demand was not met. He also accused Kimmy’s family of boasting about their police and political connections and influence in Sangrur. Garg appealed to the government and judiciary to provide justice and ensure strict punishment for those he held responsible. A written note was also reportedly left behind, bearing Garg’s signature and fingerprints, in which he again named Kimmy, Babita and Sanjeev Kumar Singla as responsible for his death and sought protection for his parents and brother. A shocking case has emerged from Kanpur court. In a maintenance case, a man was produced before the court on a stretcher, leaving everyone stunned. Within a month of marriage, the woman returned to her maternal home and filed multiple cases against her husband, including under Section 498A IPC and for maintenance. The husband, however, is suffering from a brain haemorrhage and has been paralysed. ▪️Abdul Qadir (28), a maulana at Husaini Masjid and a resident of Ansari locality under Fatehganj Paschimi police station, died on Wednesday evening after sustaining severe burn injuries when he poured petrol on himself and set himself ablaze on July 28 following a marital dispute. He had been married to Saima (24) for four years, and the couple have a three-year-old daughter and a one-and-a-half-year-old son. ▪️According to his brother's complaint and Abdul Qadir's statement recorded by police during treatment, he had been distressed due to frequent quarrels with his wife. He alleged that Saima, along with her brother, physically and mentally harassed him, pressured him to transfer his house in her name, assaulted him when he refused, threatened to implicate him in false cases, and accused him of extramarital affairs. He also stated that a dowry harassment and domestic violence case had been filed against him around two years ago, though it was later settled mutually. ▪️CCTV footage shows Abdul Qadir entering his house carrying two bottles of petrol. About 16 minutes later, he is seen running out engulfed in flames while his wife follows him shouting for help. Neighbours rushed to extinguish the fire with water before he was taken to hospital. After two days of treatment, he succumbed to his injuries at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. ▪️Following the incident, Abdul Qadir's brother submitted a complaint accusing Saima of abetment to suicide.
