As a 20-year Navy veteran who deployed on aircraft carriers in support of combat operations in the Middle East, I know firsthand the strain that every single day puts on our sailors and their families. Donald Trump’s comment on USS Lincoln’s deployment being “not nearly long enough” is disgraceful. Our men and women in uniform and our military families deserve better than an unserious Commander-in-Chief who knows nothing about military service and sacrifice.

Hampton Roads needs a fighter who is ready to take on Jen Kiggans and the most corrupt administration in history, which is raising prices on working families. Virginians want more affordability and less corruption from Washington, and I’m ready to serve the people of Hampton Roads who are being left behind by corrupt politicians like Jen Kiggans and Donald Trump.

Yesterday I had the chance to visit the Buffalow Family & Friends Community Center in Chesapeake and help distribute food at their pantry to those in need. Too many Virginia families are struggling to put food on the table because of devastating Republican cuts to SNAP and other food assistance programs making neighborhood food banks like Buffalow that much more important for our community.
