Now is the time to clean up the Supreme Court and boldly reform it. My plan is to set term limits for Supreme Court Justices at 18 years and institute an age limit of 75 across the federal bench. The lifetime appointment is a relic of a bygone era in our country. My plan would create a system where there are vacancies for each President to fill, instead of these Justices gaming it to benefit their political party. And, in January of 2029, the next President would immediately have two appointments to make, because Justices Alito and Thomas are over 75.

Mid-Michigan is very familiar with Mike Rogers. But the Mike Rogers of 20 years ago isn’t the same guy in 2026. Nowhere is that clearer than his new obsession of claiming election fraud when he lost to me in 2024. The old Mike Rogers might have had the backbone to stand up for our democracy. The 2026 version has lost that backbone entirely.

This is not the 2010 Mike Rogers or even the 2021. That guy is long gone. These days he peddles election conspiracies — the very ones he used to call Trump out for peddling. Now he’s traveling around MI (and CA) claiming over and over that the election was stolen from him in 2024. He knows he lost, just as he did on election night in 2024 when he called me to politely concede. And he’s claiming Detroit is to blame — just like Trump — as he prepares to claim fraud again if he loses in November. At this point, everything he does is to appease one man. Even if it hurts Michigan and our very democracy. The old Mike Rogers has officially left the building.

As a former CIA officer and senator from Michigan, there is no way I’m allowing Chinese vehicles to infiltrate our markets and send consumer data straight back to Beijing. It's a national security issue and puts Michigan auto jobs at risk. My bill to ban Chinese vehicles from entering the US passed a key committee with bipartisan support. Let’s get this done.

When I first ran for Congress, I made a decision to not take any corporate PAC money. Today, I am one of only six U.S. Senators who has still never taken a corporate PAC check. Our campaign finance system is the worst you could ever design -- it's like a Frankenstein -- and I have seen how that money warps our political process against the middle class.

I hear the same thing, from Trump voters in Indiana to Democrats in Michigan: the cost of health care is keeping people out of the middle class. We all agree that in the richest country in the world, there has to be a better way. I believe the answer is a National Public Insurance plan, available at any age, that travels with you.
