Anyone sharing or repurposing Rutendo Matinyarare's old videos that unfairly attack Rwanda and President Kagame should recognize that he has since changed his position and publicly apologized to Rwandans. At the time, his views were influenced by "helicopter journalism" and misinformation drawn from biased books and unverified reports.

Le FDLR ne figure pas sur la liste actualisée des organisations terroristes étrangères (FTO) publiée par les États-Unis. Cette omission n’a rien d’innocent. L’administration Trump sait parfaitement que le FDLR est un groupe terroriste, qu’il représente une menace réelle pour le Rwanda comme pour toute la région, et qu’il doit être démantelé. Le désigner officiellement comme organisation terroriste par Washington, alors même que le régime Tshisekedi continue de le supporter, voire de l’appuyer, obligerait logiquement les États-Unis à prendre des sanctions contre Kinshasa; une voie qu’ils ne veulent manifestement pas emprunter pour l’instant. Mais cette posture vide de sa substance l’accord de paix de Washington car on condamne certains avec fermeté, tandis qu’on accorde à d’autres un passe-droit pour continuer à agir dans l’impunité

Ndayishimiye has turned Burundi into a regional laughing stock. A Kenyan recently expressed disbelief after encountering Burundian minors in Nairobi who should be sitting in classrooms back home, yet are instead struggling to calculate basic business mathematics on the streets. This is the real export of Ndayishimiye's Burundi: children pushed into exile by state failure, robbed of education, and reduced to informal survival economies in neighboring countries. When a country becomes known for uneducated child migrants unable to perform elementary calculations, governance has collapsed. Burundi is no longer pitied. It is mocked.
