Staging a guillotine, marching an effigy of Winston Peters to “the chop,” and filming the countdown is the deliberate normalisation of political violence. It is grotesque, dangerous, and has no place in a democracy. Media: Cover this as if it was a right wing/conservative organisation. Police: Take action and investigate the organisers. Political parties and MPs: condemn this or own the silence. Disagree with our leader all you like. Do not celebrate his symbolic beheading.
