People never believe me that I grew up in the most Lynchian town in the country, but it’s true.

New video report of the kidnapping episode by Israeli forces in international waters. Also, I managed to record discreetly some moments of the initial interception. They immediately destroyed the ship’s camera when they boarded. I asked if we were being detained. They forced us to sail the ship to the military frigate (“take the ships to the fucking lights”). At the end, I’m asked to stand up. Here’s that footage

Over and against my cynicism, I trust that this person is still in the mayor’s office.

👀Two possible military vessels👀: Participants across multiple Sumud Flotilla boats have spotted two possible and unidentified military vessels, one large and one small, traveling west of the fleet—their origins, flags, and whether they are military are unconfirmed, while some have speculated they are NATO vessels. The larger vessel has the same shape as the Israeli one that intercepted the boats west of Crete.

🏮⛵️Breaking⛵️🏮: While sailing off the coast of Tunis, the GSF fleet has lit flares across the ships in a show of solidarity with the release of Sana Msahli, and in support of the 6 remaining Maghreb Freedom Flotilla comrades still detained by the Tunisian authorities. On March 16, Tunisian judicial authorities ordered the detention of seven members of the steering committee of the Maghreb Freedom Flotilla, with investigations ongoing into allegations including tax evasion and money laundering, after arresting them earlier that month in a hotel in Sidi Bou Said, where Israel bombed the previous flotilla mission while at port. Sixteen Tunisian organizations—including the Tunisian League for Human Rights, the National Union of Tunisian Journalists, and the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women—have called for the immediate release of the activists In a joint statement titled “Supporting the Palestinian cause is not a crime!” The organisations have said that the judicial process has lacked credibility, and argued that the arrests go beyond preventing ships from sailing from Tunisia to Gaza. Wael Nouar, Jawaher Channa, Nabil Chanoufi, Mohammed Amin Belnou are said to be still detained.

🔴Confirmed🔴: The Israeli Navy contacted the Sumud Flotilla through the Greenpeace Arctic Sunrise vessel. “This is the Israeli Navy. Attempts to break the lawful maritime blockade on the Gaza Strip constitutes a violation of international law.” Source: Greenpeace

⛵️Flotilla Update⛵️: The Globa Sumud Flotilla (GSF) Arrives to Turkey. After 24 days—across a stop on the island of Sicily, an Israeli interception, almost two days of detainment on an Israeli prison boat, and a recent stop on the island of Crete—over 30 GSF ships from Barcelona and Italy arrive to Marmaris, Turkey. The Turkish coast guard and local GSF fleet, including the “Family” boat that was attacked by a drone and decommissioned during the mission last fall, sailed out to greet us near where the flotilla will anchor off the coast. The Sumud Flotilla will dock here for the organization to conduct an international assembly—and to hold press conferences and organization-wide briefings—in order to discuss collectively the flotilla’s next steps and publicly agitate for safe passage to Gaza.
