⛵️✍️ Flotilla Update⛵️✍️: After a final technical pit stop in Antalya bay, the Global Sumud Flotilla fleet with over 50 boats is heading for Gaza—on alert as it sails past Cyprus, and with no more planned stops. Soon after departing from a port in Marmaris, Turkey, the 58 Sumud Flotilla boats were forced to make a technical stop, with two ships decommissioned for this leg of the journey. Any further technical problems will mean the boats will be serviced independently of the flotilla, which does not plan to stop for any reason. Now, the fleet is leaving Antalya bay and will continue on toward Gaza, after departing today. From here, according to the revised route passing by Cyprus, it will take 3 to 4 days to reach Gaza. The fleet will be in international waters west of Cyprus by the end of the day, and organizers have implemented a heightened alert status for the fleet starting at sundown this evening, when the ships immediately risk attack and interception by Israeli forces. The fleet will remain on high alert until interception or until it reaches Gaza’s shores.

This unidentified plane—whose origin is unknown, but likely a Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules, based on the six visble propellers—passed our ship overhead three times around noon today, while we sailed east of Sicily today. It was not seen on OSINT air traffic maps at the time.

New video report of the kidnapping episode by Israeli forces in international waters. Also, I managed to record discreetly some moments of the initial interception. They immediately destroyed the ship’s camera when they boarded. I asked if we were being detained. They forced us to sail the ship to the military frigate (“take the ships to the fucking lights”). At the end, I’m asked to stand up. Here’s that footage

On March 16, Tunisian judicial authorities ordered the detention of seven members of the steering committee of the Maghreb Freedom Flotilla, with investigations ongoing into allegations including tax evasion and money laundering, after arresting them earlier that month in a hotel in Sidi Bou Said, where Israel bombed the previous flotilla mission while at port. Sixteen Tunisian organizations—including the Tunisian League for Human Rights, the National Union of Tunisian Journalists, and the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women—have called for the immediate release of the activists In a joint statement titled “Supporting the Palestinian cause is not a crime!” The organisations have said that the judicial process has lacked credibility, and argued that the arrests go beyond preventing ships from sailing from Tunisia to Gaza. Wael Nouar, Jawaher Channa, Nabil Chanoufi, Mohammed Amin Belnou are said to be still detained.

Holly Blue, one of the ships that was boarded by the Israelis and left stranded west of Crete has been recovered by the team, and it is now sailing between all of her sister ships while someone on board plays a bag pipe. :-)
