A 15-year-old kid was beaten and shot to death at a Southeast Queens playground yesterday. And somehow this isn’t the top story. Credit to AG Letitia James & BP Richards for speaking up. In case anyone was wondering, this was the real motive behind today’s press conference. Mayor Mamdani promised a laundry list of “free” giveaways to buy votes, with no plan to pay for them. Now that the math doesn’t work, instead of owning the fact that he misled New Yorkers, he’s blaming me. Let’s be clear: I left him over $8 BILLION in reserves. This is the same Mamdani who spent years attacking me for not spending enough during the migrant crisis. The only reason those reserves exist is because I ignored him and his socialist comrades who demanded we blow billions more with no guardrails. “Free” isn’t free. It’s just a bill someone else has to pay.

The far left’s new war on AI is deeply misguided, and my community and other communities of color will pay the price. While countries around the world are preparing their young people for the jobs and technologies of the future, some here would rather bury their heads in the sand than equip our children with the skills they need to succeed in a world that is already changing. We must push back against this fear-driven approach and ensure our communities are not left behind once again. The future belongs to those who prepare for it, not those who pretend it isn’t coming.

On 12/05/25, I begged then Mayor-elect Mamdani not to reverse our policy that kept homeless New Yorkers from freezing outdoors in makeshift encampments. He didn’t listen. Ten New Yorkers are now dead. Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani, Reinstate the policy now. Every day of delay risks more lives.

Correct, we did have a hole, caused by the tens of thousands of migrants who poured into our city while the Biden Administration stood by, did absolutely nothing, and left New York to deal with the crisis they created. I made the tough cuts necessary to close that gap, without the state giving us a pass on class size mandates and other measures, cuts the current Mayor and his socialist comrades in the City Council loudly protested at the time. The job of a mayor is to make hard choices, not politically convenient ones, by the time I left, NYC had 8 billion dollars left in reserves.

I've fought for this city as your mayor, managing 300,000+ employees and a $115 billion budget that have added more cops and made our streets and subways safer, delivered record amounts of housing, cleaned our streets, and helped create more jobs and small businesses than ever before in the city's history. Not long ago I had a real conversation with Charlie Kirk. We didn’t see eye to eye on everything, but he listened, he challenged, and I respected him for his eagerness to engage in dialogue. Now I can’t stop thinking about his wife, his kids, his family shattered overnight. About the students who will never unsee what happened yesterday. We’re watching hate radicalize young people right in front of us. If we don’t fight it head-on, more families will be broken just like his.

“America deserved 9/11.” Those are the vile words of Hasan Piker. Zohran Mamdani calls him a friend. Walks him around New York, appears on his shows, and embraces him even after those disgusting comments. And to this day, Mamdani refuses to condemn them. That silence says it all.

Zohran Mamdani studied poverty. I lived it. He’s an academic elitist with plans he can’t implement, or worse, that would hurt working-class New Yorkers. Affordability is a real crisis, and I’m fighting for the people who feel it every single day. I grew up poor, joined the working class, and have spent my life fighting for them. Over the past three years, I’ve put $30 billion back in their pockets through targeted tax relief and expanded benefits. This campaign, like my mayoralty, is about them.
