Welcome to Calgary Carson Carels. Development camp underway at WinSport and the GM is here watching his youngsters, with a healthy crowd on hand. No, Conroy is not working the phone, as he’s made it clear the only adds they’ll make are AHL depth moves.

I took this video from the press box last night at T-Mobile Arena to show how the water in my water bottle vibrates with the music as it reverberates through the building. There is no louder sound system in the NHL, and the crowd noise rivals any place too.

Gotta be honest - never seen this contraption before. Looks like something I’ve seen while mini-putting though. Kinda fun.

As I just mentioned on the broadcast, The Traveling Jagrs are off to Prague to see their hero next week & to play 4 games. They’ll do so in honour of founder Trevor Freeman (Dallas Jags) who is in a big cancer battle. But they need a goalie! Respond below if u r game.

The bowels of the Saddledome literally smell like purple Gatorade as the bottles were emptied yesterday as part of the thoughtful dissemination of items from the Gaudreau memorial. These sticks will be made into benches dedicated to the memory of Johnny and Matthew.

The Calgary-based Travelling Jagrs met up with their hero in Kladno today, where none of them could replicate the current lid being sported by the legend. The group is there to play several games, meet up with Jags and honour their founder, Trevor Freeman, who died this week.

We dedicate our 1st intermission to the story behind Kade Heisler, Dustin Wolf & the magical moment they gave hockey, demonstrating small gestures can have big impacts. The 10-year-old, who quit hockey before Christmas because of bullying, had a special meeting with Wolf today ⤵️

If you are a Flames fan, or a fan of dads, you won’t see a better video in a long time. The post game celly here in Tempe tonight was epic.

Our intermission discussing Zayne Parekh’s apology, record-setting performance and what’s next for the 19-year who did what the Flames hoped he’d do at the world juniors, by getting his swagger back.

When you see and fee an opening like this, where the technology, infrastructure, fervor, playoff implications and a rabid fan base all collide, you can’t help but get excited about what lies ahead in Calgary with the new building and a playoff team down the road.

Stirring send off for the Flames, as fans stood to salute a season in which these underdogs won over a lot of people around the league.
