Jags OC Grant Udinski has a unique journey from living in his car to travel to football clinics and to observe Baylor's practices, to being a special assistant to Vikings Coach Kevin O'Connell... That stint in Minnesota is very noteworthy in my eyes.

Shout out to Lala Barnes on Tik Tok. The angle of this Moore catch is unreal. Incredible tracking.

Eric Wood asked a question for fans about Screens. Brady added amazing context. Link:

Listen to Hamilton.... The Bills set up this Quasi Playaction (Speed bootleg) play that looked like Duo. What's even better is that its 2nd and 5, the defense thinks Duo is coming, they stack the box, but Brady gets the ball on the perimeter. This is usually a GL/Short yardage call. GREAT timing of call.

Peter Woods' ability to play 1.5-2 gaps as he is moving thanks to his ability to drop his center of gravity, plant and shed to take away the cut back lane is special. Will he miss a tackle or two? Yes, but he has the chance to be a disruptive DL especially if thrown into an odd front.

Is it too much to ask for a Cole Bishop CJ Gardner-Johnson pairing?

S Jaylinn Hawkins 6-foot-1, 208 High-IQ overcommunicator with 2025 breakout production (4 INTs). Reactionary athlete who processes route changes quickly and comes into tackles under control. Quick, choppy drive on in-breakers and high-level body control in the air. Disciplined run fitter comfortable bumping into the box. Lacks elite long speed and can be exposed in pure man coverage; a risk-taker who will occasionally guess routes, leading to big plays.

A couple minutes of run defense tackling from CJ Gardner-Johnson. A feisty, always around the ball defender who sees the field well. Always willing to stick his nose in plays. I like him filling alleys and as a secondary run filler from the safety spot. He will miss tackles, but he will also make plays. You will see plays from all over the formation..

One of my favorite things to do when researching Coaches is to dive into some clinics. You can get a good idea of their Football IQ and teaching ability, aside from just scheme. Here's the Rams Pass Game Coordinator Nate Scheelhaase teaching his Intermediate passing game when he was at Iowa State. Seam/Hitch = Frontside concept Crosser = next in progression 12-14 yds Curl + Checkdown = Final two in progression

🚨Free Agent Crush🚨 LB Leo Chenal One-Liner: A disciplined and powerful versatility piece who excels as a point-of-attack or run and chase defender, Spy and zone-based underneath dropper though his impact is strictly capped by tight hips and athletic limitations that make him a liability in coverage. The Scouting Picture: Elite Tactical Versatility: A unique defensive chess piece capable of playing weakside off-the-ball LB, on-the-ball Sam, or a two-point edge; he uses a stout lower body to absorb contact and unfurl his hips through ball carriers. Disciplinary Run Specialist: High-IQ defender who sticks to keys, sniffs plays out, demonstrates elite leverage to slip blocks, and set the edge against heavy run teams. Coverage & Athletic Ceiling: While effective as a Spy/Rat defender or underneath zone defender, he lumbers to his drops and struggles with immediate change of direction, making it difficult for him to stay in phase during man coverage or mirror twitchier receivers.

Not many fans get to do deep dives into an OC's playbook, so here is a taste. One of Joe Brady's staples are these Smash - Drive/Mesh concepts, and Smash - Spacing Concepts. Which one they use is usually gameplan specific. But you can see how Brady dresses them differently and even tweaks the route stems but still gets to the same concept. These pairings are great because they can combat One or Two High looks and Zone or Man looks. The concepts are MARRIED beautifully!! These are primarily used on 3rd or 4th down...As the season has gone on, Allen has gotten even more comfortable..
