I have come across several videos of young men sexually harassing girls in the name of content. It is shocking that such acts are being viewed as entertainment. I can not begin to imagine the trauma a girl goes through in such an ordeal, surrounded by boys who, instead of protecting or defending her dignity, stand aside and entertain this diabolic abomination. What then happens if she tries to defend herself? This is why the online space must be regulated. It is no wonder that this year's theme for the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV is: “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.” I am calling on the DCI KENYA to apprehend these boys immediately. 🇹🇿 I had the honour of moderating a session commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action at the Pan African Parliament. There has been much discussion and fake posts on my observation during the Tanzanian General Elections, on which I have already issued a statement in line with the AU report, which found the election to be far from free, fair, and credible. From the videos emerging, it is heartbreaking to see that the very women and girls we champion for are the ones most affected. We can’t just celebrate women in leadership, we must celebrate good leadership, good governance, democracy, and peace across Africa. My prayers are with Tanzania. #Beijing30 #PanAfricanParliament #Tanzania

It is disheartening to see one of Baba’s sons show disrespect to Baba's brother and our Party Leader, Dr Oburu Oginga Dr. Oburu Oginga _Odinga. Any close student or child of Baba would know that Dr. Oburu was Baba’s trusted confidant and advisor. True followers of Baba’s ideals understand that he always spoke with respect, whether to elders or peers. Above all, the Orange Democratic Movement The ODM Party, as its slogan says, “mbele pamoja”, will continue to move forward together in unity of purpose and vision.

I have raised this matter before Parliament, as shown in the video below. We have not forgotten the Pastor Ng'ang'a gang rape alleged confession either. This country must take the bull by the horns. During these 16 Days of Activism Against SGBV, the public deserves answers grounded in thorough investigations. Yet, when loved ones of victims ask about the status of GBV cases, they are often told, “Wait, we have other cases.” This reflects a system that lacks compassion and urgency. We are done asking questions. We shall be walking straight to the PS of Interior Dr. Raymond Omollo — CBS, the DIG Mr. Lagat , and the DCI KENYA for answers. When you see me this passionate, it is because these cases can and must be solved. No more excuses. Enough is enough. #EndGBV #EndSGBV #KomeshaDhuluma

I urge all Kenyans to come out in large numbers, vote peacefully, and then return home to await the results. Voting is a constitutional right, and it must be exercised without fear or intimidation. We trust that our security agencies, led by the National Police Service, will ensure the safety of every voter, and that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will uphold the principles of free, fair, and transparent elections. I fully support the stand taken today by Maa Women's Umbrella Network to condemn the disrespect and online abuse directed towards Defence CS nominee @HonTuya who has been a trailblazer in all her previous positions before this well deserved nomination. Similar standards should be applied when analyzing the merits and demerits of leaders appointed to various positions regardless of gender. #RespectWomen
