Iโm GDRAGON, the youngest recipient of this yearโs Order of Cultural Merit, the Okgwan. ๐ผ: Handsomeโผ๏ธ ๐ฒ: I know, I know. Itโs been almost a year since I made my comeback after a long break. Hmmโฆ if I remember correctly, I first auditioned when I was about six, holding my momโs hand. Since that day, Iโve been chasing the same dream. As a teenager, my dream was to become a singer and I achieved it. In my twenties, I received awards. In my thirties, I was honored with the Okgwan Medal. So now, Iโm looking forward to what my forties will bring. Ah, by the way, I had to rush here, so Iโm a bit out of breath. I prepared a lot, but now that Iโm here, the words donโt come as easily. First of allโฆ Iโve always admired singers since I was young. I still do, and Iโm truly proud and in love with being a singer myself. Not only that, but also all the seniors who allowed me to dream they were always like shining stars every night. I grew up listening to their songs, and now, after becoming one of them, our group will celebrate our 20th anniversary next year. I want to share this honor with my members, and Iโm also deeply grateful to VIPs and FAM. Iโm currently on a world tour, and itโs truly amazing. Every day feels like a dream. Every night before bed, I tell myself, โGood night, sweet dreams,โ and it gives me strength. I made my comeback through MAMA last year, but this yearโs activities feel different from usual. Today is a day full of joy, but also a day full of sadness, with so many emotions mixed together.
